Helpful staff
Having had a few problems with my water metre, et cetera I had to contact United Utilities fairly regularly . At all times they were very helpful and put me in touch with people who who were able to answer the queries and to sort it out. Eventually, the repair was done and a very good job was made of it. Very pleased with the service and pleasant Customer Service people.

Water leak concern
I have been experiencing high bills after a new meter was installed . Once this was identified I called the customer service - they reduced my monthly payments immediately and started an investigation . It come to light I had 2 leaking toilets . Once repaired they are now looking at leak allowance . I decided to use the Facebook chat instead of the customer service phone number and it was much more easier . I have been dealing with Alex who has been super helpful . I did get a different advisor at one point who did give me different advice but once I was referred back to Alex it was plain sailing . Thank you Alex for your support in a stressful situation .

Shocking customer service
Shocking, shocking customer service. This shower have no clue what they are doing, their interdepartment 'systems' don't 'talk' to each other so unless you get through to the right team first time, you're on the phone about an hour explaining multiple times your issue. Currently on hold for a fourth time over a bodged meter install with a bodged reinstatement. Any other service provider you'd just walk, but no, UU has a monopoly and don't the customers know about it!! Disgraceful company and inept staff who don't care a damn about customer experience or satisfaction.
