Poor Durability
We purchased an egg chair for around £300 and unfortunately the rattan-style material began cracking after approximately 16 months of normal domestic use.
As the product was outside the 12-month warranty, we were told that we would need to pay for an independent furniture specialist’s report to demonstrate that the failure was a manufacturing defect. We were also advised that the cost of this report would not be reimbursed even if it confirmed a manufacturing defect.
We were disappointed with the durability of a product at this price point £300 and with the proposed resolution. We have now been advised to contact Citizens Advice if we wish to pursue the matter further under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
