No resale value- high removal fee
There were problems during the installation of the stairlift, including damage to my carpeting. Although I was told that the company would remove the stairlift when it was no longer needed, I was never informed that there would be a $600 removal fee.
Because this is a curved stairlift, it has little to no resale value since it was custom-built for my staircase. In addition, Acorn does not sell replacement parts to third parties, making it even more difficult to resell or refurbish the unit.

Patrick
Patrick, sales rep, was very thorough in explaining the process from buying to install . He was professional, warm and friendly like an " old friend" and eased our minds as well as answered all our questions. One of the best demos was when he showed us how the rail would be installed directly on the stair treads and even had a visual layout. My sister and I felt at ease and fully trusted his knowledge and expertise. The install went smoothly and the testing of the stair lift went smoothly. Highly recommend Acorn above all others!

The installer did a great job
The installer did a great job. He was professional , courteous and made sure we were comfortable with the use of the stairlift before he left. I have used the stairlift daily since June 23rd and have had no issues. It has definitely made my life easier.

Great people, great product.
The entire process was pleasant and straight forward. Our surveyor was friendly and efficient. He explained the standard and optional features of the unit and, after measuring, quoted us a price. After accepting the quote, we were contacted by the sales manager and were scheduled for installation the next week.
We are happy with this lift and hope it gives us the same quality service as our faithful 13 year old model 120.

The Surveyor, Installer, and customer service
The Surveyor, Ofelia Gonzalez, visited our home and provided us with an exact amount our Stairlift would cost. She was very helpful and made pertinent suggestions. We agreed with the proposal and scheduled installation. Our installer, Mike Thompson, was prompt and very meticulous. He did an excellent job with the installation and explaining all the details we needed on the operation and care of the stairlift. The stairlift and all the interactions with Acorn exceeded our expectations. A great organization.

Worth the Investment
The service technician was friendly and arrived a few minutes before scheduled. He explained what would be done and approximately how long it would take to complete the installation. He explained how to operate the lift and had me do a test run on the lift after it was installed, and left the relevant forms and product information when the job was completed. This was worth the investment.

Very hard staircase but Acorn Stair-Lift to the rescue!!
We had a wonderful experience with Acorn Stairlift. Dillon our installer was kind, polite and he paid attention to detail. Dillon was on the run the entire time he was here. Our staircase was difficult! It is in marble and it takes a 180 degree turn. Dillon kept this pace up the entire time…. This staircase was a real challenge!! Then when Dillon was finished with the work, he took quality time to answer our questions!! We would give your company and Dillon (10) stars if we could. Thanks, Don Carrell

We bent to the pressure of cutting out…
We bent to the pressure of cutting out the middle man and are now left with a product that does not work for our home. There are multiple family members that need the lift and if they are upstairs they cannot utilize the device because the rail, which sticks quite a way out into the walkway, has to be manually lowered and raised. We have now invested thousands in a stairliftthat does not effectively meet our household needs.
