Spamming approach stalking. Restraining order needed?
I will continue to support democratic candidates, but never through act blue. I get 15 or more spam texts a day. I reply STOP to each, and then they find me with another number. I had set aside additional money to support candidates. I donated it today to a food pantry. Whoever provided act blue empirical data to suggest all this spam raised money was seriously wrong. You are alienating many people I know, me included
Don't do it!
I wish I could give Act Blue negative stars. Oh my lord, I gave a few dollars to some political campaigns I believed in. What I didn't know was that the entire Democrat party uses Act Blue to manage their online contributions. And that's when your mailbox is inundated with spam. Heck, these guys generate more spam than Hormel. It took me hours per day for weeks on end to spam-and-block hundreds of beggars every day. From now on, I send directly to the campaign, using paper checks. I will NEVER consciously interact with Act Blue again. And you know how much they care? Just look at all their responses. Yeah, zero.
ActBlue is one of the scummiest…
ActBlue is one of the scummiest fundraising operations out there. I deeply regret ever donating a single penny to this scum. They relentlessly spam me with requests for more and more money. I receive at least 10 texts a day. There is apparently no way to stop them. I'm in the process of unregistering from the democrat party. I WILL NEVER GIVE ANY DEMOCRAT MONEY AGAIN.
Same boat as others
Same boat as others. One small contribution. Relentless SPAM. Borderline harassment. We should start an actblue campaign to disban the current admin of actblue and/or CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.
I was nice enough to donate to a cause…
I was nice enough to donate to a cause via ActBlue (via a text they sent), but since then, I am receiving texts all day long, over and over and over and over again. Did they sell my phone number or is it just them sending me a throve of texts all day long, every day? WHAT A SCAM! I learned my lesson NEVER to donate when I receive these texts, no matter how worthy the cause. Buyer beware!
I have only made political donations…
I have only made political donations through ActBlue since 2020. I stopped in 2024. 2 years later I'm still getting on average 3 daily requests for donation, mostly via text. I've told them to stop. They said they aren't doing anything but the links go back to actblue. Manipulative and dishonest.
I now keep a list of the campaigns spaming me and will not contribute to any of them. I'm going to start writing to their campaigns telling them this.
Worse than SPAM; avoid at all costs
I daily receive DOZENS of unsolicited requests for $$$ from politicians I do not know, and certainly am not eligible to vote for. Deleting requests as SPAM does no good. It is impossible to have name removed from ActBlue’s site. Do not donate anything to any cause supported by ActBlue.
My Google Message pages are overwhelmed…
My Google Message pages are overwhelmed by solicitations, for donations. I don't doubt that many of these requests are for legitimate causes, but 10-23 donation requests per day is ridiculous! I am no longer donating through Act Blue.
Do NOT make contributions! They use the platform to PRETEND you made RECURRING contributions!
Act blue charged me for recurring donations I never made!
I will be going to my bank tomorrow!
DO NOT DONATE via ACTBLUE unless you want more SPAM
Donated to a political campaign and now get tons of SPAM email and texts asking for donations mostly for out of state politicians.
ACT BLUE has done nothing to fix the annoyance.
They should ask donors up front what their choice on follow-up contacts, and provide a simple means to limit the SPAM.
It took me a while to realize why I was getting so much spam. Now that I know, NEVER using ACT BLUE again!!!
Never Ending Texts & No Way to Stop It
Once you sign up, your phone number is shared, and you will receive daily text messages. No matter how many times you text "STOP," new ones will come in daily. Unfortunately, you will be punished unrelentingly for donating. I regret it and will never do it again.
Easy to give to campaigns across the…
Easy to give to campaigns across the USA.
Sleazy Operation
Like others, ActBlue is a sleazy operation. They claim they do not send out email/texts, yet if you donate to a campaign through them you receive a never ending stream of texts and emails requesting funds.
They provide your contact information to all manner of campaigns: Some legit, some not. They earn revenue on the number of names provided.
Sleazy, unethical company.
ActBlue is choking off grassroots support
Donate once, and you're signing up for an endless stream of text messages for every random Democrat politician and PAC in existence. IT NEVER STOPS. Don't bother complaining to ActBlue's support they'll just tell you to ask the scam PACs to stop texting you. I've been a lifelong Democrat and this scam has driven me away from the party completely.
Uncalled for in 2024 and 2025-10-17 & 12-12
When I contributed, I thought I was I was only contributing to one specific cause. But I found out in 2 separate donations, that in each, I was charged for the targeted cause along with a cause that had a similar word in its title by Actblue. In the other one they charged my card for the target cause and then charged the overriding organization that is associated with the cause. It's too bad. Now I can't support the person, group, etc. that I want to help!
Actblue spam
Actblue continues to spam me through both SMS and email, often to the tune of a dozen messages per day from their customers. Actblue does not appear to be willing to honor their AUP or state and federal law. This has been an ongoing issue for several years.
If you want an endless flood of…
If you want an endless flood of fundraising texts from every left leaning non-profit and ever single person running for office as a Democrat, be sure and donate! It NEVER STOPS!!!!
ActBlue does more Harm than Good
As everyone else experiences, contribute to one candidate and you will get barages from EVERY other Democratic candidate and cause forever. Going forward, I will only send checks. There should be a way to blanket STOP all such texts but, as far as I know, you have to do them one at a time. Several times a day.
Actblue somehow bought my info from yrs…
Actblue somehow bought my info from yrs ago and sent me a thank you for a donation I didnt make, from a name I havent had for 30ys (married now) from a card that has been dead for over 5yrs from an address I never lived at.
When questioned how they did this they said they "refunded" it back. Bull! They never charged a dead card on maiden name with the wrong address...they didnt refund an amount they never charged. This is a paper trail invention for secret donations to the DNC.
This is a money laundering org for the DNC and I turned all evidence over to out State AG. Actblue? They blocked my email, DNC called my house to try to smooth things over. I told them the same thing...Im fixing to Nick Shirley this place for democrat corruption.
I thought this would be a good way to…
I thought this would be a good way to contribute to Democrats who deserved a little help. Instead, I am hounded all day for contributions, and they have never responded to my certified letter asking them to cease and desist. I think these guys deserve a short sentence in a federal prison, and they should be barred for life from using texts and email.
