Excellent service
I wrote a review a couple od days ago and have come back on to change this from 2 stars to 5. Basically I bought a new inverter and also a battery pack. The sale was non pressure, I wanted one anyway, and the work when carried out was great - no issues with that at all. The work was carried out at the start of October. I did have an issue regarding after sales but since posting the review I had a call from Alex at the company and all sorted out I have no complaints about the
work done at all (and actually referred them on to someone else) - the system looks good and works absolutely fine and I am reassured that any issues will be dealt with efficiently.

Solar Panel Installation
Called around for a few quotes for renewable energy and AJ discussed several options for the array installation and offered the most competitive price (Not the cheapest to be fair) but do believe in get what you pay for. Never regretted the decision. Arranged visit for install and rest fell seamlessly into place. Punctual, organized, suited and booted, install, commissioning and explanation of the whole system. Easy to deal with very responsive when additional guidance required (senior moment) Definitely recommend AJ in future.

Battery life
I was impressed by the tidy installation of my replacement battery,in comparison to the previous experience with--zz.
But unfortunately they chased my wife's phone number for payment. Idid give the initial contact the correct details.
In the middle of November in Scotland I can see the difference to my usage that a battery with solar panels can make.

5 Star Service from AJ Renewables
After doing some research on Google I decided to discuss my solar and battery requirements further with AJ Renewables. Their salesman Lee provided an excellent presentation of the available options and the likely benefits to be expected.
From initial enquiry to installation and commissioning only took a few weeks which I was surprised as I had expected a lengthier lead time.
I opted for the GivEnergy 3.6kw Hybrid Inverter with the GivEnergy 9.5kw battery along with eleven of the Canadian 430w solar panels.
All the installers (panels and electricians) were friendly and introduced themselves upon arrival and tidied up when they had completed the works.
Ally Galloway was present throughout the installation and kept me appraised on progress and the next steps etc.
System was only commissioned yesterday (22/10/2024) so early days to understand fully the possible savings that the initial outlay and what payback period will be.
Very happy with the commissioning yesterday by Jordan McLean even though I did not help matters by setting up a GivEnergy Account in advance which complicated the process.
The GivEnergy app is pretty clear as to what is going on with the system as well as a third-party "Inverter" App which has great animation of the current energy being generated by the panels and load from the house.
The installation only has the solar panel skirts to be fitted as the angles on the roof tiles will involve a little more work to achieve the desired end result.
I would certainly recommend Ally & Jordan and their Team at AJ Renewables for your solar project.

AJ renewables performed well
AJ renewables performed well. The response to my initial enquiry was informative and helpful. My questions were answered and the optimum configuration for my property determined. Their quotation was comprehensive and after a little negotiation was very competitive.
The installation went ahead on the day planned, was well organised, works well and is very unobtrusive in the roof space. The external team who fitted the panels on the roof in a gale of wind and rain deserve a special mention
The system has been working for the last five summer months and I have enjoyed the novel experience of the utility company paying me!
I can warmly recommend the work of this company.

very good when you are looking to purchase and arranging the instalation, which was done very well, they made sure it was all registered correctly.
However after payment they where very unhelpful, not replying to emails or phone calls when i did get a responce i was directed to youtube ?
They would not give me any documents of the system they fitted ?
I have had only one problem when i had to turn off the battry and turn it back on.

We’re really pleased to hear that the installation was carried out well and that everything was registered correctly — that’s something we take great care with. However, we're genuinely sorry to hear that you felt let down by the aftercare and communication.
This isn’t the experience we aim to provide, and we apologise for the lack of responsiveness and clarity following your install. We’ve recently made changes to improve our support process and documentation delivery to make sure this doesn’t happen again for future customers.
If there’s anything outstanding you still need, please don’t hesitate to reach out and we’ll make it right. We really do appreciate your honest feedback — it helps us grow and improve.
