Absolutely shocking company , stuff comes from china and the tactical trousers look nothing like advertised no where near what they show you , very poor and cheap quality , straight in the bin , please save you money , absolutely disgusted , 100% false advertising of products

The Jacket took over 2 weeks to arrive, unsuprisingly as it came from China NOT London. More importantly it was nothing like the one in the picture and the size was a small not medium.

Ordered a cardigan from this 'born in London' company. Had to chase several times and product finally arrived almost 3 weeks after order.
Worse, the product did not fit so I decided to return it. This is not permitted until one contacts the company. This gives them the opportunity to barter the return. They talk about costly postage and also a restocking fee (their refund policy displayed on their website directly contradicts the latter). Unimpressed with an offer of a 50% refund and keeping the product (which does not fit) I asked for a full refund to be told returns must be to an address in China!!!! Again, no mention of this nonsense on their website.
Shoddy customer service referring to T and C and ignoring everything else. This is not a London Company but it is one which does its best to avoid refunds. Shoddy

Sadly I've had the same experience as others when I purchased a jacket - low quality products that take 2 weeks to deliver and then it is difficult to get all your money back. Don't be fooled by the name and think they are in the UK. Customer service insist that returns are sent to China at your cost. Avoid!

SCAM COMPANY. Item sent was not as per item in photo. Different colour and thin poor quality material. Item is sent from China ( Shocker!) When ask for return for refund they ask for you to pay postage to China and a 30% restock fee. You will be able to buy similar products for quarter of the price from Primark, etc.This company will also ignore UK distance buying Laws.

Ordered a jacket in green. Ordering through facebook I knew I was taking a bit of punt but given the price I thought it would worth it if it turned out like in the picture. Sadly it didn't. Took over 2 weeks to arrive (came from China not London) and quality OK to be fair but not in the colour I ordered (I got grey). Will probably keep it as it is OK and I expect I won't get a full refund if I was to try and return it.

Fraudulent company. They advertise fake AI generated photos of products and send different ones.

My item was delivered late claiming it was out of stock at the time of the purchase. Although tracking details were showing it was already in transit for several days at that time. If this wasn't suspicious enough when finally received the item it was a completely different product from what they're advertising.

When emailed them photo evidence of the incident and asked for refund they weren't helpful nor cooperative at all. They were refused to refund me. I was offered partial refund or store credit which was a massive insult.

I did not accept the store credit for obvious reasons. And asked for full refund again. Which they refused to issue again. I was expected to return the false product at my cost. OUTRAGEOUS! This was the moment I decided to formally report the website for fraud and submit my honest feedback on trustpilot.

I have yet to receive my refund. Any time I ask for it they deflect and steer away from the conversation and avoid accountability.

The company is a disgrace. They have done this to many other customers and carry on doing it. I hope they get what they deserve sooner than later.

The product received was poor quality and not as advertised. Despite being branded as “Arkes London,” I was told to return it to China at my own expense.

Only after escalating the matter was a full refund issued. I would strongly advise others to be cautious before ordering.

I recently purchased a pair of trousers from Arkes London and received something quite fascinating. According to customer support, the item I got is indeed their “current production model.” It just happens to look completely different from the one advertised.
The listing photos show specific details, multiple materials, branding in the knee area, ventilation zippers, velcro panels, buttons, and proper finishing. What arrived was a much simpler version made from a single material, missing all those features, and without any tags. Just two promotional cards in the package.
Apparently, the images may reflect “earlier reference versions,” which is an interesting approach to online retail. Even more interesting is being asked to cover return postage for an item that does not match the advertised product.
If you enjoy surprises and reinterpretations of product photos, this might be the brand for you.

Check as other cheap chinese marketplaces for the products before you buy... you will find it there for much cheaper price.

My experience with this company has been extremely disappointing and raises serious concerns about their understanding — or interpretation — of UK consumer law.

The jacket took along long time to arrive (from China) and when it did the sleeves were 3” shorter than advertised and come half way up my forearm and there was only one zip breast pockets not two..

When a product is not as described or not fit for purpose, UK consumers are entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Instead of addressing the issue reasonably, the company rigidly relied on its “policy” and insisted that I return the item overseas at my own expense before any refund would even be considered.

A retailer’s internal policy does not override statutory consumer protections. Quoting consumer law while simultaneously placing disproportionate logistical and financial barriers in front of a customer seeking a legitimate remedy is, in my view, deeply misleading.

There was no goodwill gesture, no practical solution, and no willingness to engage constructively — just repetition of policy.

This has not been about the financial value involved. It has been about principle and basic compliance with UK consumer standards.

I would urge UK customers to think very carefully before purchasing, particularly given the lack of a domestic returns facility and the approach taken when issues arise.

To clarify, the item I received does differ from what was advertised, specifically in relation to sleeve length and pocket detail I have already provided clear photographs, as these differences are visible and were the basis of my original concern.

I did previously attempt to resolve this directly, but did not feel the matter was addressed satisfactorily.

As you have now stated publicly that you are willing to review the case properly and work toward a fair resolution, I will contact you again with my order details and supporting images.

I hope this can now be resolved promptly and transparently.

I bought a jacket at the advertised price of £38.00. They took £46.00. The jacket took two weeks to arrive and was very poor quality. The sleeves were too short. I measured the sleeves and compared it to their sizing chart. They were 1.7" short. Therefore, not as described. I e mailed the company for a refund and return address and 5 days later, after numerous e mails, I'm still waiting for both. So I've now opened a case with paypal to get my refund. They give the impression that they are UK based and hassle free returns, they're not. Avoid this company!!!!!

I ordered a pair of boots which were not wide enough . I was advised that I could receive a percentage of a refund or order something else . I decided to order a ladies slip in moccasin . The quality of this shoe was so sub standard I asked for my money back . The goods are not as they look on the website and I wouldn’t buy anything thing else from this company

DO NOT BUY!!! 🚫 Just purchased a jacket that took two weeks to receive. Took it out of the packaging inspected the item and was shocked by the quality and not to mention, made in china with the cheapest materials. I repackaged and sent it back straight away (return to sender) after having searched on the website and through the return policy and not finding anything.
After back and forth with emails to them, they offered a 30% refund and said I should've requested the return address although consumer rights states otherwise. The jacket cost £46 minus the 30% puts a considerable amount of profit in thier pocket. Don't buy from this company because I can assure you, you won't be happy.

To all, is the return address for Arkes "London" PayPal will not accept a return address clearly stated on the parcel when you receive it. If you want unbranded products from china that is nothing like on the website, be sure to shop here. Clearly a scam.

Delivery time was over two weeks. Product not exactly as advertised but at least customer service was helpful with the refund.

I ordered a jacket in large size however the arms are too short (im 6ft 2) and the zip was a faulty. The company offered a replacement with me paying £15.99 delivery. They also offered 30 and 50% refunds. Eventually they have provided me with 100% refund as per their policy. They have allowed me to keep the jacket which I will donate to charity.

Nice trousers quick delivery and the after care top notch, what can I say will buy from them again Mr S Edwards

Sadly i missed too many red flags!!

Professional looking pictures of their stock and what looked like an efficient business.
What i missed was, no phone number, no UK address, no owners names.
Ordered it and was told 5 days to arrive via Yodel. confirmed on 15/1 email from Arkes and then silence.

Yodel sent email saying the item was received my item on 16/1 and to deliver by 23/1. Nothing happened . I call Yodel who said they had not received it but i have no faith in Yodel either but then got an update on 26/1 from Yodel saying it would arruve 27/1. Meantime i sent emails to Arkes London but guess what no replies.

The item arrived in a very small plastic bag containing my cardigan that was in a flimsy plastic wrapper that had already been opened by someone else .
The item itself was awful. I ordered XL after using Aekes fitting guide. It was so small, had no brand label , had no care guide and bear in mind they said it was a £66.00 item discounted to 32.00 you would expect a decent item in decent packaging.
What i got was a cheap arylic type material cardigan, it was too short and did not even reach my waist band the 3 button holes just after one" try on" looked about to split as the holes had not been finished .

It looked nothing like the web site picture at all.
Looked at IG again and guess what i found 2 other pages using exactly the same pictures .
Mcmullen 4700 with web site James & Mable very professional but just a copy of Arkes and with 3742 4.5 star reviews. . That page already has very bad comments from buyers. There was another IG page as well but it has been taken down already.
I have now emailed Arkes London 4 times but no acknowledgement or replies.
I have been an idiot i guess missing the obvious red flags .
Despite its 30 day return guarantee I have to email the company to complain or return and if the company agrees they then send an address to return it to but at my expense. They the decide is the return is accepted and if so they retain 30 % restock fee!!!
that means say a £5 recorded postage and if they then agree they take £9.2 charge.

it then says customers cannot return items in a sale??? Every item they sell is on sale so how can they be legal!!

I have no idea if there selling process kis actually legal in the UK when selling to customers on line and paying by a debit or credit card. I will try a charge back from my Bank but suspect the card acquirer will refuse.

All in all my mistake
Having given the company the opportunity to contact me i have heard nothing and the mirror pages of other businesses using same pictures just seen on IG leads me to believe that i have been scammed.
BUYER BE VERY AWARE AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK

Total scam, Mason Knit Cardigans were not knitted, wrong sizes and nothing like the pictures on their website. They then insist first class recorded delivery to return goods at your cost and 30% restocking fees.
After numerous emails they reluctantly gave refund , deducting restocking fees which is illegal.
Do not waste your money.
