Berrymere contacted after my review on this page the end outcome is an offer of 15% and to keep the sandals which I cannot even walk in so uncomfortable..meant to be orthopaedic…I would advise people to stay away from ordering with this company …these sandals are brand new sent photos of them top and soles and this is the outcome they cost £35 so my refund will be approx £5 ..absolute joke

Would give 0 stars ! Company not based in Birmingham. Item took over 2 weeks to arrive. Not as advertised… completely different fabric/ pictures show floaty style and in reality cheap plastic looking item with bad print. When complaining and requesting refund I received two different emails … one that the item was on its way and another asking for extra pictures for the return that were pointless as they had no intention to refund. I have to cover the shipping cost to China! Reported to trading standards… do not use !

Total con. Website claims they are in the UK, states shipping takes 3-5 days. They are actually shipping from China, taking weeks.
They will spam you with emails from bots.
There was a specific dress I knew was a cheapo from China, but I really liked the print and wanted it for a holiday so I shopped around to find somewhere with UK stock. Berrymere came up, double the price of Amazon, but with a delivery time that worked with my travel (website says 3-5 days). When the dress had still not shipped 7 days later, I emailed to cancel. Lo and behold, it miraculously shipped the same day, within 30 minutes of me being informed that I could not cancel as it had left the warehouse. Dodgy scam returns policy costing £20 to return their crappy clothes to China. Dress has now arrived, scrunched up in a plastic bag and quality you’d expect if you’d paid £8 from Temu rather than the £40 I paid Berrymere. Wish I’d read the reviews here before ordering- note that all of the positive reviews are from bots or people who have only just ordered. In summary: avoid. This is just another China based scam.

My one item order took over four weeks to arrive. When it did it was such poor quality and wasn't cheap in price. I tried to get a full refund and then found out they were based in China and I would have to pay for the postage. I didn't mind doing this but having had a similar experience with another China based company and my return parcel failed to arrive with them, I was loathe to do this again. I asked for at least 50% back but Berrymere refused, they promised me 25%, will see if this happens. Definitely won't be using them again or any China based company

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this Company. One item I received was of very poor quality and looked nothing like what was advertised arriving looking like a dish towel! The material was cheap and the overall product did not meet reasonable expectations.

The situation was made worse by the Company's handling of the return request. Despite products being unsatisfactory, returning them proved difficult and actually discouraged by them in order to make money from you by offering a 25% refund of the total amount paid to keep the items.

Based on my experience I would absolutely not purchase from this Company again and would strongly advise others to think carefully before ordering!

Do NOT buy from this company. They say they are UK based but they are actually based in China. The item took 3 weeks to arrive, when it finally did it was cheap nasty quality. Didn’t even have a label on it saying what the material was. I since found a replica copy on SHEIN and Amazon for a fraction of the price.

That’s not the worst part…

The website clearly states, “Didn’t fit? No worries. You can return your item within 30 days of delivery if it’s not quite right.” However, when I requested a return, I was told I would have to pay to ship the item back to China at my own expense, making the return unrealistic.

Instead of honouring the straightforward return policy advertised, I was offered only a partial refund (15% and then finally 30%)to keep the item.

Following my poor review I was asked to supply my customer order no so they could look into it. Not surprisingly they haven't done anything. I note from other poor reviews the order no is requested but I guess the same experience as me. Do not order from this site, delayed delivery, not what you ordered and false promises but lots of apologetic emails. Re your below reply I have supplied my order no but all you do is request it again, its pointless.

Shame you can’t give no stars . This company is a joke from start to finish. My five day delivery took 21 days . Shoes arrived in a cheap plastic bag. Shoes are small , almost two sizes adrift. You can only return at your own expense and the offer you another pair at a reduced price , why would you want another!! Countless emails have resulted in no outcome from them or myself. I’m not budging and neither are they . Fight to the end - you may get lucky but I doubt it . AVOID.
No doubt they will reply to this review promising to put things right , but they don’t even process refunds that they’ve promised!!

So placed a first order with this company address in Birmingham so thinking it was a local company no problems. Ordered 2 pairs of mens cargo shorts , looked really good in the pictures , denim, good colours well they arrived and the material was thin enough to see through and looked as if they had been tie dyed. It's ok ,local company ill return as to be honest for the nearly £40 a pair they were rubbish. Emailed , returns yes no problem but our warehouse is over seas so will cost a fortune to return, . What's the point in trying to shop local to be told it's again from abroad. Returns ha no chance. So if anyone wants 2 pairs of shirts please contact me and you can have them for a fiver. Oh I did manage to get a 10% partial refund might be able to get a burger !!

The shoes took nearly 3 weeks to come, when they did arrive they were a bag and not a box. The shoes I received…… one was bigger than the other! I take a size 7 and these was not a size 7, they were smaller. I contacted the company and they asked for pictures. I sent the pictures for my feet in the shoes and also pictures of my feet in a size 7 shoe. In there shoes you can clearly see my toes hanging over edge, especially the right one. Berrymere did not respond about my toes hanging over the front but advised me that I would have to pay for the postage back to them but if I want to buy another pair of shoes in a bigger size I can pay £10.23 (a random amount) and there will no need to return the odd pair of shoes. I don’t see why I have to pay to return the shoes which are clearly 2 different sizes and pay again for a different size. I have been a size 7 since I was 14 years old so at the age of 45 what size do I order. Not a great experience and very poor quality shoes. Please think again before buying from this business.

My sandals arrived in a cheap plastic bag. They took just over 3 weeks to arrive. The quality is poor and not as described on the website. The buckle is paper thin as are the straps to my sandals. The buckle is so flimsy I cannot do the sandals up so therefore I am unable to wear them . I have read all the very poor reviews about this company (based in China apparently) not in Birmingham as they state on their website. I wish I had seen these reviews before I placed my order! I have asked for a refund but they are refusing to engage about this. I will be reporting them to the Citizens Advice Trading Service and I will be persuing a charge back via my bank. I will also be contacting the BBC Watchdog Programme, Which? magazine and newspapers to see who will take up this story as this company needs to be stopped.

The dress I ordered took over 2 weeks to arrive and is a very poor quality. It is like something you would expect from Shein but 4 x the price! VERY disappointed! Definitely won’t be using this company again. I’m just waiting to see if they approve a return and I get a refund…will update if I don’t!

Absolutely appalled by my experience with this company.

My mother ordered a pair of shoes which unfortunately did not fit. She contacted the company well within their stated 30-day return window to request a return and refund, only to be met with resistance, excuses, and extremely poor customer service.

What is most concerning is that nowhere in their return policy does it clearly state that they may refuse or discourage a return because the return shipping cost could be “too expensive” for the customer. That should be entirely up to the customer to decide — not the company. Despite this, they have continued to avoid properly honouring the return request.

The communication has been frustrating, dismissive, and completely lacking in customer care. Rather than helping resolve the issue fairly, they appear more interested in hiding behind vague policy wording and making the returns process as difficult as possible.

Customers should be very cautious before ordering from this company, especially if there is any chance you may need to return an item. A returns policy is meaningless if a company makes the process unnecessarily difficult when you actually try to use it.

I have now escalated the matter further and will continue sharing my honest experience so other customers are aware before purchasing.

Update: My mum was offered a partial refund but still hasn't received this or receiving any replies from the company now!

Rubbish item nothing like the photo. Flimsy material, it doesn't fit, its short despite saying in advent it's long. Buttonholes won't last five minutes when used and will fray. Have been offered to keep it and pay £11.89 and pick something else at the same value as the coat of £38. If I return it the cost will be down to me. I wouldn't even donate to a charity shop. Should have read the reviews before ordering. This company says it's Berrymere Birmingham so I thought it was coming from the UK. There are lots of companies using the same item. AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I only give 1 because you have to. These people are a disgrace, DO NOT BUY from them. You pay for postage and takes 3 weeks! What! And no willingness to refund for their hopelessness. Then trousers are no where near stated size and they are doing anything to resist a refund. Absolute charlatans.

Quality of garment is substandard and much like SHEIN products. Despite website suggesting the company is based in Birmingham, items come from and must be returned to China for a full refund. You have to pay postage to return the item to China (this is not made clear anywhere on their website). I would advise others in the same position as myself to report this company to trading standards! Many emails back and forth to the company have not resolved this issue.

Very disappointed with the sandals l ordered the picture/photo of said Sandals give the impression they are on the similar type of espadrille’s wedges. But they are completely moulded in the same shape but nothing like espadrille. All plastic and the awful smell. Their return policy is a waste of time. BEWARE
