Amazing tool to help self employed 🤩

I love Counting Up. Having had to start working as self employed I needed something that would make the process of managing my finances and invoicing easier. Having the business account with Counting Up has made life easy! The app does all this. I keep the card very separate and use it only for fuel and work related expenses.

The invoicing capability facilitates my billing and it looks so professional- I’m overjoyed with it. I created a company logo - that was fun and so after a lifetime of being employed I’m responsible for myself!!!🤩
The app is really easy to use and when an invoice is settled it tucks away some money for tax💖
I am in the habit of adding my work to a draft invoice each time I work and it tots it all up.

And a rare chat bot that seems to work 😃I’ve had the account since July and love it ❤️

A brilliant tool. Thanks so much.

Absolutely garbage the advertised wording clearly said no credit check but I was refused a business account by countingup complete waste of time

Fun fact I went to a high street bank who done credit checks and gave me an account for my new business thanks for nothing countingup

looks very expensive, tried to sign up as a not for profit company, at the end of the application its says no internet connection, this company is a total waist of time.

To clarify, at the moment Countingup can only support applications from Limited Companies or sole traders. We understand that this might be disappointing.

As for the "no internet connection" message, this will indicate that there is an issue with your device's connectivity, rather than something on our side. That said, we'd love the chance to look into this further. We've requested some further information through Trustpilot so we can help to try and resolve things 🔍

Not signed up to CRM code

UPDATE. thanks for your response, however you haven’t emailed me (I have checked junk). Yes, I am aware of new APP scheme, however I was scammed in August 2024, so the APP legislation does not apply. The CRM legislation would apply, but you are not a member, so you won’t refund me, despite other banks issuing refunds to people who were scammed by the same company at the same time as me. I raised a complaint shortly after, but your advisors have just been saying that they will be taking it up with the receiving bank, you have been saying this for 12 months! My case is going to go to the FOS who are upholding customers complaints and enforcing the banks to pay 8% interest on top.

Not signed up to CRM code, so no protection. I recently got scammed and others have been refunded by their banks, but Counting Up won’t issue a refund because they aren’t bound by CRM rules. Very expensive fees too, so not sure why I’m not protected like I would be if I’d chose another bank. Will be looking to close account once this issue comes to a close.

You’re right to ask about protections. The Contingent Reimbursement Model (CRM) Code was a voluntary scheme, but it was retired on 7 October 2024. Since then, the UK has moved to a mandatory reimbursement regime for APP (Authorised Push Payment) fraud. Under the new rules, payment service providers are generally required to reimburse victims of fraud, where the scam falls in scope. Each case is different, so your specific circumstances (timing, evidence, whether any rules or exceptions apply) will be assessed by our investigations team. I'm also sorry to hear you're finding the fees expensive. We are a little bias, but we think Countingup offers strong value for money.
