Stop a certificate
I have identified a need to stop the issue of a certificate. There does not seem to be a way of doing this. The reason was that I identified thet the applicant had provided incorrect information. I was eventually able to withdraw the application but only after a long wait on the phone. I might have given up with the phone. A quick way of dealing with the situation seems advisable.

Everything went well until the end when I utterly failed to take a picture of myself to download. Not your fault I'm sure. I was rescued by a colleague who was able to guide me through the government website. So far as your fee is concerned I would appreciate it if you were able to refund it but am in your hands so far as that is concerned. Regards

Not nearly as efficient as in previous years
Have not had a problem in previous applications but this year -
-didn't want the £100+ service but was not able to register for the ordinary one online
-ID documents wouldn't upload correctly and sending them to an agent by email as advised led to silence and upload your id reminders. I did so more than once but it was days before they were opened and dealt with.
- So why did I pay £100+ for speedy processing when it didn't happen - whatever the reason
- Once the emails and uploads were read and dealt with the efficient system kicked in and the application was dealt with immediately and correctly
- Hope Gov/DBS get their IT mojo back by next year.....getting too many emails for a paid service isn't a credible service?

⭐ 0/5 – Avoid at all costs! Total scam.
I wish there were an option to give zero stars. These people are absolute scammers. You pay over 7 times more than the official government website, only to have your application processed slower and through a more complicated system.
The official gov.uk site charged me £21, while this company charged £136. Despite applying with them first, I received my result from gov.uk before I heard back from this service. I chose them because I thought I’d get a faster result, but their “3-hour fast track” only means they review your application within 3 hours — not that you’ll get your result faster.
In reality, gov.uk processes applications faster and cheaper. I honestly don’t know what this company’s role is, or what they’re charging for. On top of that, they have no refund policy once you upload your documents. I even asked them to stop processing my application, but they went ahead and charged me anyway.
Save your money and go directly through gov.uk.

Upon further investigation, we can confirm your DBS application was processed and submitted within 30 minutes of receiving your digital verification. Furthermore, your DBS certificate was issued the same day and a digital summary certificate was sent via email. Therefore, you were provided with fast and efficient service.
Regarding the price for your check, we can see you selected a few add ons which are completely optional to purchase along with your DBS Check. For example, you purchased the fast-track, digital ID verification and SMS updates. Therefore, this contributed to the total price of your check.
Your cancellation request was placed after your application had been processed and submitted, therefore our services had already been completed.
We understand our prices are slightly higher, however we hope the quick turnaround and efficiency of our services can justify these for you.
