I've sat my exam 3 times with this company. I finally passed.

I have to say from the start they have been terrible at communicating. They have endless typos in their emails, their prices have been differently stated on the website, email, and in their final invoice.

The coursework is not helpful at all as it also contains typos, and the examples do not explain how to effectively answer the questions.

The exam itself is a mess, some people were given the wrong classroom link and had to be moved to another class. The process of handing in the online paper takes too long, and we were waiting around 15 minutes to receive the second paper. When I did the second paper the invigilator told us our time was up without giving us extra time to finish. This happened the first time took my exam, so I rushed to finish (and failed). The second time I sat the exam, the same happened, this time I made a note of how long I had left (15 minutes). This is where I the scam is uncovered. They purposely lead people to fail, so they can make more money by resits, of which they charge full price.

I have no idea why universities are using this company (some won't accept any other).

I cannot fault equivalency testing so far. I’ve chosen to complete biology with them and paid to receive the full course material. This has been helpful along with the tutors notes once I’ve received the homework back. I’m due to book the exam soon, however could someone please advise of the process? I’ve seen it’s all online, you need zoom and a working microphone, but is it multiple choice etc? Not too tech savvy so I don’t want to be panicking on the day. Could anyone who has sat the online test please run me through what to expect. Thank you for taking the time to read.

So this is the second exam I have sat through this company and I can honestly say it has been exceptional! The lady on the phone answered all my queries. The invigilator was so clear in her instructions and the whole process from start to finish has been perfect! I am totally baffled at all the negative reviews about this company as they change people’s lives by helping them gain the qualifications they require to further their careers. Thank you once again Equivalency Testing!

For those reading this please I am TELLING YOU not to go with this company!!! I called up and spoke to an old gentleman sounding man and the reason why I’m sure if it was an old man or not is because the call quality was soo poor and crackly I felt like I was talking through those old poor quality radios where you have a lot of static.

Then out of nowhere some lady took the phone off him and said ‘what is it that you’re wanting’ in the most aggressive manner!! I asked the lady politely to speak slowly because I can’t hear her and she rudely said ‘well if you can’t hear me why you bothering me for?’ And disconnected the call.

When I tried calling back they would end the call straight away before even answering!!

I sent an email to enquire back in May and it’s now end of July… STILL NOTHING BACK!! It’s like the place is ran by absolute toss pots!!

Thankfully I discovered another company that doe GCSE Equivalency called ‘A Star equivalency’ and believe me when I say this but the experience was the complete opposite!

They are the most mindful and knowledgeable people I’ve ever spoke to and so helpful to listening and answering my questions!! I honestly cannot praise them enough!!

They even have….. CLEAR CONNECTION ON THEIR LINE!!

Just have a 2 minute conversation with them and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about!

Final reminder: don’t even waste your time with this company!

The service is extremely poor. Nobody is answering the telephone! Email gets a reply after days.they don't inform candidates about the prices of the tests. Very poor communication with callers. I don't understand how do they run a business and provide service for education sector. It's disappointing and sad.

I took the GCSE English equivalency test with equivalencytesting.com. I paid £60 extra for the fast-track service to get the result within 48 hours. I received my result via email within 48 hours. However, I did not receive my certificate for 15 days after the exam. During this period I contacted them three times over the phone and several times via email. I must say they never replied to my email but they did answer my calls.
After the two-week delay, they called me themselves in response to my email and assured me that they were sending me a new certificate right away. I received my certificate the very next day.
I read a lot of negative reviews about this company and I was genuinely horrified before and after applying to them. However, contrary to loads of negative reviews I had a smooth and hassle-free experience with them.
I did not even buy the course material from them and only used an exam only option. The examination process was smooth. The invigilator was fair.
Another point that I would like to stress here is that I have always found them polite over the phone.
However, they do lack in making direct and engaging contact with their clients/customers. The customers who pay money for a service deserve some assurance and satisfaction from them.
Providing accurate, truthful, and assuring information promptly to their customer would improve their customer satisfaction.

They take your money, you sit the test, you don't get a result and they become unreachable.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. Horrific from start to finish. The information they give you does not match up with the exam papers. I ended up doing my equivalency test with Birmingham university and it was a breeze and passed first time. I highly recommend Birmingham university for equivalency tests.

I am speechless about the level of unprofessionalism that the company shows.

Firstly, the communication via email is shocking. The presentation of each email is so suspicious, there is nothing professional about it; the email contains spelling grammar errors and the information which is not always accurate. If the information is copied and pasted, please then it must be rectify before sent. The last email sent, I received a response in capital letters? I still cannot believe how rude this person was. When clearly all I wanted was an answer.

I must say, when making phone calls, which was occurred several times, the lady on the phone has always been lovely and I thank her for this.

This is such an expensive exam, the company must show some level of integrity and respect for the ones who am looking to take this exam.

A really, really unhelpful company, who have refused to replace a lost certificate because ‘they don’t keep digital records for more than three years’. This is despite me having the accompanying admin.
ET are entirely independent from, and not recognised by, The Department for Education; so there is no evidence of their results recorded elsewhere.

They did advise that I could pay for another test.

After an awful experience with another equivalency testing company I can say that Equivalency testing were amazing.

Efficient ,Friendly and helpful staff .On the exam day it was professional and well organised .My exam results arrived the following day !! I passed and I cannot thank the company enough !! My certificate was super speedy through the post . Top company . Thank you to all involved in the process.

I have just completed combined science with Equivalency Testing. This is my second experience with this company and once again I am extremely happy with the service I received. The packs were very informative and any questions I had were answered swiftly and with patience (which I was very grateful for as I tend to ask too many questions when it comes to exams). I can't remember the ladies name that I dealt with but hopefully she knows who I am referring to. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and would not believe some of the negative comments mentioned.

Terrible customer service, the lady and the manager were extremely disrespectful when I contacted them with a query. They were condescending and couldn’t answer a simple question regarding my certificate and then hung up on me. They should be better trained in customer communication. Very poor customer support.

It's a shame that some people had a negative experience using this company. I highly recommend and because of good and sound advice from the lady who is extremely kind I was able to pass my maths exam.I failed at my first attempt and passed the second time.I owe this lady a great deal of gratitude. She always took her time to explain everything to me..Good sense of humour too.Alwasys told me that keep going it will be alright. I'm able to go to University this September because of her encouraging me.

It’s such a shame to read previous reviews as my experience of this company has been really positive. To take up my SCITT placement I needed to achieve my GCSE in science. After speaking with the lady in the office who was really informative I opted for the higher level biology as opposed to combined science as this was more relevant to my career path. As I am 46 and it’s been a long time since leaving school I opted for the pre course homework prior to sitting the exam. The assignments were marked and returned with additional revision within a day or so and I managed to complete them within a couple of weeks. I took my exam in July and failed. I wasn’t prepared and had just lost my dad so personally it wasn’t the best timing however, I can say that all of the content in the exam had been covered in the coursework. I sat the exam again last week and I passed :-). I would like to say please don’t be put off by the reviews, everyone’s experience is different and I can’t honestly say I can’t fault this company at all and I would highly recommend them.

Have heard back from a prospective student applying to our university. This student has excellent references and had excellent interpersonal skills in the interview.

They fed back that the pack sent out was lacking in information and the woman on the phone was openly rude when asked about the process, refusing to explain the process beyond limited information in the pack, and promptly hung up.

This service has the lives of people who pay hundreds of pounds in their hands. Note that positive reviews below seem to be from parents (therefore of intermediaries) and there are many negative reviews from people in more personal and precarious situations.

As a university we will definitely look elsewhere from now on. We need to be helping people over barriers, not treating them with contempt.

Has anyone sat the maths foundation paper recently?

I have bought the maths foundation course spent over £300 for it and have had a horrible time dealing with them. Basically everything I've been experiencing has already been written in other reviews, the rude lady on the phone, zero customer service and poor communication. I have been threatened by the lady on the phone who told me she would block my number if I called back, while she hung up on me 3 times! I've also received an email which said my email address has been blocked due to abusive content, I simply asked for an email from a human and not automated emails, none of the automated emails answered any of my questions. Also, beware that you WILL NOT receive a personal response to your emails or inquiries, I have only received automated emails that don't answer any of my questions. I've also had to wait over a week without any response, some of my emails have not been responded to at all.

If someone could shed some light about the online maths foundation paper and the format, that would be very helpful. As the sample paper they have sent me has questions surrounding measuring angles with a protractor and plotting graphs, not sure how I am supposed to do that online?

When Applying for the course I opted for the revision guide believing it would have everything needed. I soon discovered that a lot of information was missing and its basically the same stuff repeated more than once to bulk it out. When I asked for additional support from the tutor marking the work, i was given the bare minimum despite paying £300 for this service!
Was offered a refund if I sent the booklet back, after a very abrupt and rude conversation with a lady who claimed my feedback was wrong and that I simply needed to use google (which left me baffled to why I paid £300 for something I can get for free!)
I needed to complete this course to go to uni, so I reluctantly kept going, to then feel completely defeated by the amount of questions compared to the lack of learning material.
I wish I had accepted the refund! Please AVOID!
A company offer zoom classes, I wish I had done my research and gone with them instead.
Utter waste of money and time. I am hoping this review will prevent others from having the same experience as myself.

My daughter recently sat her Combined Science and Foundation Maths exams with this company and they’ve been great for both subjects. She took the course for CS (which really helped), Maths she revised herself. I don’t often write reviews but wanted to say thanks for all the advice and support the whole team gave, encouraging her all the way. It really made a big difference.
