I have been a Etihad Silver guest due to frequent travel always with Etihad. I have loved all the services they provide so decided to check out the free Abu Dhabi Stop over service they offer. We decided to have 4 days stop over so the hotel was apparently provided with some 40% discount. Unfortunately our travel plans got cancelled and we cancelled our flight and also had to cancel the hotel booking. We got refund for the flight immediately however for the hotel booking they need 3 CALENDAR MONTHS to return the money. Simply meaningless and pathetic service when it comes to this AbuDhabi Free Stopover.

At first when I was making the hotel booking on Etihad website, the payment failed as my credit card rejected assuming a suspicious activity. While I was unblocking my card, I already got a email from Etihad asking me to may 25USD fee for the fail transaction and I was like WHAT? Also when I had to cancel my hotel booking there was no option online to cancel the booking so I had to write a email to them. Again even though I cancelled the booking 1 month in advance and there was free cancellation mention, they still charged me 25USD as cancellation fee. After confirmation of cancellation, I kept looking for days at my credit card statement and there was no refund at all. When I reached out and sent multiple email they claim it is mentioned in their terms and conditions that it takes them 3 CALENDAR MONTHS to refund. Then I asked them to show their terms and conditions, they have stopped replying me.

Stay away from AbuDhabi Free stopover offer. I am still waiting for my refund for over a almost 1.5 months now and there is no update as to when they will process it.

ich beobachte seit längerem die Homepage von Etihad Holidays. Seit Tagen kann man hierüber nichts buchen. Es werden keine Reisetermine angezeigt. Es besteht ein massiverer Fehler und die IT Abteilung unternimmt nichts. Darauf telefonisch angesprochen auf den diletanischen Internetauftritt bekommt man zur Antwort, dafür wäre die Beratung am Telefon besser :-)

Extremely bad experience DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. When I called they said there was a transit Visa but upon arrival I was denied entry. The airport denied the existence of a transit visa and the official made me pay 120 euros!!! I competency at its best. I will never fly through Saudi again!!

Ich bin sehr enttäuscht von der Airline. Sie bieten einen kostenlosen Stopover in Abu Dhabi an, halten ihr versprechen aber nicht. Ich hatte einen Flug über Abu Dhabi nach Sri Lanka gebucht und da ich einen Aufenthalt von ca. 13 Std hatte, wollte ich die kostenlose Übernachtung in Anspruch nehmen. Hier musste ich meine Buchungsnummer eingeben und mir wurde die Bestätigung des Hotels per Mail zugeschickt. Als ich abends im Hotel angekommen bin, wurde mir gesagt, dass keine Buchung vorliegt, sie es aber mit Etihad klären werden und nur eine Kreditkarte als Deposit benötigen würden. Ein paar Tage später erhielt ich dann die Info, dass Etihad das Hotel storniert hat, da ein Hotel erst ab 18h gestellt wird. Eine Info hierzu habe ich nie bekommen. Auch nach Kontaktaufnahme per Mail wurde mir nicht geholfen, sodass ein Anwalt die einzige Lösung sein wird.
