Compassion
Compassion, respect, organisational skills, support, empathy and great communication was shown to the whole family during the very difficult and emotional time we went through recently. Nothing was too much trouble.
We were very impressed.

A 5 star experience, would highly recommend
Kerry made the whole situation easy to cope with, she was very helpful and was able to show sympathy but wasn’t too overwhelming. The whole team couldn’t do enough to make the day special, lots of guests commented on the service, conducted by Rob who was brilliant.

Giving my Mother the perfect funeral
Lesley Shand gave my late Mother the most wonderful funeral. Every detail of the service was just perfect. From arranging the flowers, the music, the local minister and the catering for the wake, Leanne, one of the funeral directors at Lesley Shand, made sure every single detail, no matter how small, was catered for. My Mother and I were very close and her passing was a huge loss for which time will not heal, but, I think she would have been very happy with the "send off" she received from Lesley Shand. If you are, or are about to, go through the grief of losing a loved one, then I highly recommend Lesley Shand Funeral Service in Corfe Mullen.

The truth about the service you offer.
Having been informed of my mums death by my Son, I telephoned there office, telling them I was the Son of my mother and ask for some details, of the solicitor or the name of the person handling mums funeral, so I could attend mums funeral. I was told that information was not available to me, with no explanation.
As I am a 68 year old disabled man with a broken back/spine, I had no contact information for my family, So I was unable to attend my mums funeral.
So I am wondering where did all the lovely caring funeral director Peter go, maybe my mums money was not good enough.

As funeral directors, we are instructed by, and accountable to, the person arranging the funeral. We are legally and ethically required to maintain their confidentiality and cannot disclose certain information without their consent. This is not discretionary, it is a professional obligation that applies to every family we serve.
The funeral details, including location, date and time were published on the Memoriam page, in line with the wishes of the arranging family member, so that those who wished to attend could do so.
Our team is committed to treating every family with fairness, dignity and respect, and payment arrangements never influence the care provided.
If you would like to discuss your concerns directly, we would be willing to speak with you privately.

Dad's passing
Adrian and his team were very professional but also compassionate. Mum was very impressed with the way they took care of us and showed great respect on the day of the funeral. Thanks to Helen for sorting the photo montage and for sending them to me plus the service itself. Ellie the celebrant was excellent and prepared a brilliant eulogy based on our memories. Funeral of mum

Nothing was too much trouble
From our first meeting with Peter to arrange Dads funeral, we were made to feel at ease and we immediately knew we were in safe hands. We were guided through every step of the procedure, including costings not only for the funeral but also for the necessary extras: Celebrant, florist etc.
We felt very assured and comfortable that whilst in the care of the funeral home, Dad was being respectfully cared for and we were informed that we would be able to spend time with him in the chapel should we wish to do so.
The service was not rushed in any way and went very smoothly. Peter was most accommodating at all times and we were even allowed to have a visual tribute of photos included. We felt that Dad had been given the dignified send off that he deserved.
Two weeks after the funeral we had the ashes internment at our local cemetery. Peter liased with the town council and grave diggers on our behalf and once again he made the procedure simple and completely stress free.
We could not fault the service that we were given by Lesley Shand Funeral Directors. The level of service and genuine care was extremely high and they were very professional, accommodating and friendly. We would not hesitate recommending them.
Although it was understandably a sad occasion, it was made so much easier by having the guidance and help from Peter who consistently showed sincerity and kindness.
