Lesley Shand helped me through such a difficult time.
Lesley Shand in Blandford handled my mum's funeral. She had a funeral plan with them, so it was easier than it could have been anyway, but Peter Short, one of the Funeral Directors there was so comforting in the first few days after mum's death. I didn't know what to do or where to start, so I called the 24 hour helpline at 7am and asked for help. Peter called me as soon as the office opened, and saw me at their premises that day. He took things from there with my input and wishes, so I felt that things were all under control from that point on. And he dealt with everything so sensitively, with real insight into the type of person mum was (she lost her husband 6 months beforehand and had met with Peter a few times). From the beginning of the process, through to the funeral, and then the storage of the ashes, I felt that I was taken care of, a priority, and never an inconvenience. I can't thank Peter and his colleagues enough.

Excellent reputation
We chose AE Joliffe & son Funeral Directors in Ferndown because of their excellent reputation and both my parents had funeral plans there. The ceremonial room on site was warm, intimate and convenient for friends and neighbours.
We were immediately put at ease by Adrian on initial arrival. All the staff were warm, welcoming, respectful and very professional.
All our needs were met and the service was memorable.
We had a board with family photos and a video of photos accompanied by music of our choice.
We also took the catering option, which was delicious and were able to bring in our own wine.
A huge thanks for the excellent service and would recommend highly.

At the beginning
At the beginning, booking the plan was a simple process, where, at a time of sadness, I was guided with sympathy, through the procedure then, and how, when my wife passed, the service wold continue. When that time came the wishes of myself and family, were uppermost in the minds of Douch Family Funeral Directors. No small matter was left untended. Our thoughts were taken fully into consideration. The funeral itself, proceeded exactly how we would have wished, giving many of those attending, a quiet joy at the service, celebrating the life of my wife.

Very welcoming and helpful staff
Very welcoming and helpful staff, who went above and beyond to make our experience as honouring to mum as possible. Even finding a pink sparkly scatter tube for us which was so fitting for mum. All costs are clearly shown with nothing hidden, so you know exactly what you are paying for. Unpressured. Elise was very knowledgeable and answered any questions that we had. Highly recommended.

Dignified but unfussy
When making the arrangements for this funeral I was really listened to. Everything was done just how I hoped it would be, but also, some things were above and beyond my expectations. The whole ceremony was dignified and unfussy, effect for my family.

Danelle was absolutely an amazing credit to your team.. she is so kind , professional and caring for every tiny detail to be exact for Dads funeral. Her commitment and contribution to our family was incredibly inspiring. Natalie her wingman was as lovely and kind, & nothing seem to be too much trouble for this incredibly generous people. I would recommend them a million % .
As a total deer in the head lights , not knowing an absolute thing for dad’s funeral, Danielle simply said on our 1st meeting … “we’ve got this and Dad will have the best send off ever. “. And she was so TRUE to her words. She was PERFECT. & her Team in a very challenging Family situation.
This funeral was arranged from NORFOLK.
And you wouldn’t have known that l was not living in Corfe Mullen . I was never made to feel alone at anytime ❤️
