Extremely disappointing experience with…
Extremely disappointing experience with HelloFresh.
I cancelled my subscription and order, yet HelloFresh still charged my account THREE separate times. When I called, they initially couldn’t even find my account. I then spent around an hour going back and forth with customer service on chat trying to get the issue resolved.
Eventually, they agreed to refund two of the three unauthorised charges, but refused to refund the third charge — despite the fact that I had cancelled and did not authorise the transaction.
More than 24 hours later, I still have not received all three refunds and the matter remains unresolved.
Being charged three times after cancelling is bad enough, but having to spend over an hour chasing HelloFresh and then being refused a full refund for money taken from my account is completely unacceptable.
I would strongly recommend checking your bank account carefully if you cancel with HelloFresh. Based on my experience, cancelling the subscription did not prevent further charges, and getting the money back has been unnecessarily difficult.

I love all aspects of this meal kit company and they are the brand I will be sticking with. They are convenient, fresh, offer a good variety, no wastage and have helped me save money. Great Meals, but Delivery and Packaging Need Improvement
Overall, I’m very happy with HelloFresh. The ingredients are always fresh, the recipes are easy to follow, and I genuinely enjoy the cooking experience every week. It’s become something I look forward to, and the quality of both the food and customer service has been consistently great.
However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved.
First, the deadline for confirming or changing the following week’s menu feels a bit too early. It would be helpful to have a little more time before selections are locked in, as plans can change throughout the week.
Second, the condition of the delivery box is often disappointing. The packaging frequently arrives damaged, with torn cardboard and poorly applied tape, making the box look like it’s about to fall apart.
On my most recent delivery, the ice pack for the meat was also missing. Fortunately, the order arrived before the meat had completely thawed, but if the delivery had been delayed any longer, it could have become a food safety concern.
I really enjoy using HelloFresh and would love to see these issues addressed so the overall experience can match the excellent quality of the ingredients and recipes.
