A very positive experience buying a motorhome and trading in our caravan. Dawn Clark was our contact and she kept us up to date throughout. Excellent, friendly service from Dawn and other colleagues who always ensured that you reived a call back promptly. Delighted with our van, the 3 year warranty is very reassuring and the comprehensive handover was great.

Cant leave 0 stars so 1 will have to do. You might get decent service buying a vehicle. Good luck though if anything goes wrong. Mobilvetta won't deal with you direct so if you need a replacement part you have to go through Marquis. I've been trying to get a replacement passenger window/catch since March as due to a bad design the lug holding the existing one in place sheered off. Each time, the person "dealing" with my issue goes on long term sick and no-one picks up where they left off. I'm now in August with 2 weeks before my annual Euro road trip and I have a passenger sliding window that you can just push open with the lightest touch and no means of fixing it. I cant list the number of calls/emails/pictures etc that I've sent to try and get a simple replacement part (happy to try and fit myself, just need the part). Latest excuse is that Mobilvetta are now closed for Summer! Never mind that I've been trying since early Spring. It's almost funny. Absolute joke of a company, avoid if you have another option.

Becky, Sean and the team were fantastic from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, I was kept informed throughout. From diagnosing a tricky fault to fully repairing my motorhome took less than 24hrs. I really can't fault their service, absolutely 100% professional! Thank you so much.

I recently bought a Benimar 144 at Exeter and found Martin to be excellent. He answered all my questions professionally, with a good humour, he needed it for the "stupid" ones. Any queries were answered really promptly. He made the experience great! He handed over to Leah who did a really good hand-over ensuring I understood everything . I would recommend the service on the site as I found everybody to be helpful and welcoming.

I purchased a used Auto‑Sleepers Bourton from Marquis Suffolk in June 2026 and want to give an honest and factual account of my experience.
The initial viewing involved over an hour looking around approximately forty vehicles. I live with ME/CFS, which affects cognitive processing and fatigue, and although I informed staff that I was disabled, no adjustments were made to help me manage the pace or volume of information.
After forming a view on an Auto‑Sleepers Stanton, a different vehicle (the Bourton) was suddenly introduced. This was unexpected and added new variables to consider at speed. We also had to leave the premises to retrieve my wife’s driving licence for a test drive, and the salesperson had an afternoon appointment and an upcoming holiday, which contributed to a sense of urgency.
The deposit was taken with the words “this is non‑refundable” spoken quietly while walking towards the printer, rather than as part of a clear discussion. Under normal circumstances, we would have taken time to compare both vehicles properly, check the MOT advisories, and notice a Camping and Caravanning Club promotion that was not mentioned at the point of sale despite discussing our long‑term CCC membership.
After purchase, several issues arose. A cracked windscreen was reported one hour before collection. A list of snagging items, including cracked shower silicone, was not passed to the service department, resulting in the vehicle being returned to us with only the windscreen addressed. The service certificate stated the vehicle had been fully prepared, but the washer fluid was almost empty and the AdBlue tank required 10 litres.
A material appliance substitution (the fridge) was not disclosed before purchase. The fridge fitted was not the original specification and differed from other Bourtons on the forecourt. This only became apparent after the sale.
Communication after purchase was inconsistent, and a later telephone conversation regarding my concerns was difficult for me due to my disability. I have since asked that all communication be in writing.
Some matters were eventually dealt with, and staff were polite at times, but overall the experience left me feeling unsupported, rushed, and disadvantaged as a disabled customer. I hope this review helps improve transparency, communication, and disability awareness for future buyers.
October Update
Thank you for your response.
I note Marquis' statement that it is "dedicated to providing exceptional service", seeks to create "positive experiences for all customers", and aims to ensure that every interaction is "seamless, reliable, and tailored to your needs."
Those aspirations reflect the central concern raised in my review.
Marquis has since acknowledged in correspondence that staff were aware I had an hidden disability at the very start of the sales process. However, at no stage was I asked how that disability affected me, whether it affected my ability to process information or make decisions, whether I required additional time or support, whether my wife was acting as my carer, or whether any reasonable adjustments might have assisted me during a complex and high-value purchase.
My review does not suggest that staff were deliberately discourteous, nor is it intended to debate every aspect of the transaction in a public forum. It is simply an honest account of my experience as a disabled customer.
The issue at the heart of my review is not whether Marquis knew I had a disability. It is whether, having been informed of that disability, any effort was made to understand its practical effects or whether the process should have been adapted in any way to meet my needs.
If Marquis believes that its interactions were genuinely "tailored to my needs", I would respectfully ask what consideration was given to my disability, whether my support needs were explored, and what adjustments, if any, were considered.
While Marquis and I clearly disagree on certain aspects of what occurred, I stand by my review and hope the company will reflect on the difference between acknowledging a disability and actively considering what support, flexibility, or adjustments may be appropriate for a disabled customer.
That remains the issue at the heart of my experience, notwithstanding that certain other matters remain unresolved.
I remain willing to engage constructively and in writing regarding any genuinely outstanding matters and continue to hope that Marquis will reflect upon the concerns raised.

We have just bought a Benivan and were amazed to find that the radio doesn't work when the van is parked and the ignition is turned off, bearing in mind that this is a leisure vehicle.
Upon taking this up with Marquis I was told that this was the case and it doesn't work, I then asked why wasn't I told during the handover or when we bought the van.
Let this be a warning to anybody thinking of buying a vehicle from Marquis that they do not offer all the information up front on their website and brochure information that is available and definately not from their sales team.
Very economival with the truth about all the features and non features of the vehicles they supply.
They couldn't wait to sell us the vehicle but once they had been paid customer service disappeared their recording on the phone system about exceptional customer service is a joke.
I suggest that you buy from anyone else other than Marquis for peace of mind

Terrible customer service and incredibly poor communication.
We reserved a motorhome with Marquis and were told we would receive an email to proceed with the purchase. The email never arrived, so we called the following day to chase it only to be told they had sold the motorhome to someone else.
We were ready to go ahead with the deal and had been waiting for them to contact us as promised. To lose the vehicle simply because nobody could be bothered to send an email or keep us updated is completely unacceptable. A very disappointing experience and an appalling way to treat a genuine customer.
Our comms was with the Ipswich branch.

We bought our first motorhome from Ashley, he was very helpful and knowledgeable. We weren’t rushed and had lots of time to choose and look at various models.
Overall the service was very good. We did have to have an item fixed under warranty which they organised for us.

Gary and the team gave it everything and then some. Despite the problem with the van the day before collection they pushed for a fix daily and stuck with us throughout. We can’t thank them enough for their support and would highly recommend the whole team, sales and service, not forgetting Claire! We went in as customers and left as friends. Thank you all.

Would highly recommend Matin to anyone.

Having now got a new team of staff in at there Gomshall branch that actually cares about the problems you are having with warranty work they have turned it around. Everything that we needed doing has now been done. It has put my faith back into this Branch. Nothing seems to be to much trouble and they get on with whatever needs doing. I would like to give a big thank you to Susie that she has been our champion in making it happen top marks to her.

I had the pleasure to use Marquis on Dorset to have a Truma air conditioning unit replaced under warranty.
The prompt and efficient service from Becky and other staff was excellent. The job was completed within a week of the replacement unit arriving. Also a very nice waiting area and water for my miniature schnauzer. Will definitely use Marquis in future for all my motorhome needs.

I visited the Exeter branch to have a look around and I was greeted with a warm welcome from every single staff member especially in sales. I wasn’t 100% sure about what I wanted, however the sales staff here were fantastic. Every single team member I spoke to was so helpful and genuinely eager to assist, never making me feel like I was wasting their time at all.

Update to my original review
I previously praised Dawn and the sales team, and I stand by that. Our experience during the purchase was positive and Dawn was helpful throughout the sales process.
Unfortunately, our experience after collection has been entirely different. This was a brand-new motorhome, yet it became unroadworthy during our first journey after leaving the dealership and had to be recovered. We have also identified numerous additional mechanical, habitation and quality-control faults, including matters that we believe should have been discovered before handover.
The vehicle has remained with Marquis while the situation continues, and despite raising our concerns and formally rejecting the motorhome, we have not received a resolution that restores our confidence. We have found the after-sales communication and handling of the matter extremely disappointing.
We purchased a new motorhome believing it would have been properly inspected, safe and ready to use. Instead, the experience has caused considerable inconvenience, worry and a complete breakdown in trust.
This review reflects our genuine experience to date. I will update it again if Marquis provides a fair and satisfactory resolution. If anybody has had similar issues please feel free to get intouch

We want to write this review as a support to others who are considering purchasing a leisure vehicle from this company. Apologies for the length....Please do not take this review as a standalone experience, but research as much as possible for the experience of others as we wish we had! we will report the facts (all evidenced and documented) and let you draw your own conclusions.
After making the decision to trade in our panel van for a motorhome, we saw one at Marquis South Yorkshire. The trade in and purchase (small part financed) from Colin went smoothly and we picked up our van early September 2025. After one outing of 4 days and a weekend away we could smell a musty odour - that and seeing a Youtubers experience with the company, prompted us to get an independent damp report in October. This found several areas of high damp readings - one end panel being 80%.
We were devasted and contacted the dealers as their damp report on sale did not show any damp issues.
They immediately took the motorhome back and their own workshop agreed with the readings and found a few more areas in the garage. We agreed to a first repair and they had the motorhome in to fix leaking window seals and dry it out. In November we picked the "repaired" van up and took it home. One week later we went into the van to put some belongings away and noted water pouring in through the repaired window.
Gutted! Once again - Marquis collected the motorhome but by this time we had lost trust in the van and the dealers repairs and decided to reject the purchase under the Consumer Rights Act - we sought advice from citizen's advice, the CAMC legal helpline, a solicitor, National Caravan Council Informal Disputes Resolutions service (NCCIDRS) who all advised that we were acting within the rights bestowed to us under the law.
This is when the nightmare really began as if being sold a damp , unfit for purpose motorhome wasn't enough! Marquis just point blank refused to accept the return. The after sales manager at Head office, continually refused our rejection and acted against all the legal advice we had been given. They kept referring to a piece of paper they get customers to sign which agrees to the job being an "open repair". We had signed it because the same agreement says that your statutory rights under the consumer rights act are not affected. This agreement was what they used to say that they had the right to repair indefinitely.
It has taken until July 2026 with almost weekly communication with Marquis, Blackhorse finance initially and the financial ombudsman ruling in our favour, to get our money refunded. That is nearly 9 months of no motorhome, stress and anxiety, subject access requests all of which really was not necessary and could have been sorted with good aftersales service and correct knowledge of the law - both consumer law and GDPR.
In short, from our own experience and from reading about other peoples experiences, if you manage to buy a sound motorhome in the first place your experience may be okay. However, if you encounter difficulties as we have then the after sales experience is horrendous led by their Head Office.
Please do not purchase without really doing your research - our case is not a one off - unfortunately!
