We bought our first Campervan from Brownhills. We spent four hours trying to make the decision to buy the Campervan. There was no pressure at all from the salesman Jonathan. Excellent service from start to finish. The collection went very smoothly. Great that you can stay the night and try it out in case we have any questions. All the little extras after you have purchased it are so good. We love our first Campervan!! We can’t wait to start our adventures!!
Thank you.

Picked my second Motorhome up from Brownhills on 16th Sept, excellent service from start to finish. Special thanks to Lea Hardy for his support and understanding over the past 6/12. I was meant to take delivery of one back in April, but my trade in van was hit by a truck end of March, which took 6 months for insurance to write off? Lea Hardy was exceptional, so a big thank you to Lea and the whole team!

We popped into Brownhill’s en route home.
Such superb service all round. The cleanliness of the vans was of the highest standard thanks to Sarah Cupit, the Valet and this gave us the best impression.
We needed some advice so I approached John (Keech) who gave us some valuable top tips for our Adria. He even came into the van to view the issue we had re the AC unit and whilst we understand Truma engineers service the units, John was able to give us info on the filter fitting and to replace the filter covers.
Most informative and worthwhile visit!

Another great well attended Club Brownhills event at Brownhills last weekend. Friendly helpful staff who go above and beyond. A special mention to Jonathon Caudwell who is always willing to answer our questions with regards to a suitable replacement motorhome.

This was our second purchase from Brownhills. We had our previous van for 6.5 wonderful years using Brownhills for warranty issues, the hab checks, servicing and repairs and have always received great customer service from them. We had no hesitation in going back to them for our new purchase.
From start to finish the whole company made our experience feel relaxed, happy and appreciated as a customer. A particular shout out to Jonathan (Sales), Rick (handover team) whose knowledge and experience is second to none and to Joe H (workshop team) who sorted all the normal minor snags we had to a very professional standard. We would also like to give a shoutout to all the ladies in the cafe for keeping us fed and watered while we waited. Finding a company that makes to feel valued as a customer is becoming increasingly rare, we would have no hesitation in recommending Brownhills.

From my initial contact with Brownhills through to collection day, everything was very smooth. I received a very professional service form everybody involved from start to finish. My sales contact was with Jonathan and he was a pleasure to deal with. Although my trade in motorhome was older than they normally sell the obtained a very fair offer from one of the motorhome companies they do business with.
Handover day went very smoothly and a thorough hand over, explanation and demonstration of all onboard services.
On collection day I also bought a Gaslow refillable gas system from their accessories shop. Once again I received great advice from the knowledgeable staff.
Overall my experience of dealing with Brownhills has been very positive.

I have a Hymer ML-T580. I had a leaking shower tap, one of my friend suggested to contact Brownhills Motorhome as see if they could help. I talked to a guy in spares called Darren Leadbetter, (I sent him a photo of my shower tap). Darren asked me a load of question regards the tap to ensure I got the right one. The new tap was sent out that day, I managed to get t fitted and all working fine now. Big thanks to Darren for all his help and knowledge, cheers John Brown

We bought a brand new Rapido motorhome from Brownhill’s in June this year. It was a risk because we live in Edinburgh and it’s a fair distance down to Newark, however a friend who’s also a Brownhill’s customer spoke very highly of them. I’m glad we made that decision.
We had a few teething problems with the van (mostly electrical faults) and It required a couple of visits back to Newark to get everything sorted. It was frustrating to say the least but throughout the process Brownhill’s has been outstanding. I cannot commend the customer service highly enough - every single member of the team has been amazing. Special thanks (in no particular order) to Emma and Ellie on the Service Desk, and to technicians Jaimie, Shaun, Stewart and Eliot. Thanks also to managers Alison, Sarah and Mark.
Sometimes things go wrong, but the mark of a great business is how they deal with those problems when they happen. Brownhill’s has been nothing short of excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new or used motorhome.

Got a quote for selling my motorhome to Brownings £39500. Which was £4000 less than I’d nearly sold it for a month earlier. But I had a deal lined up elsewhere so I thought yes, go ahead. When they turned up a day late they did a comprehensive report to try and lower their offered price.
The main reason for reducing the price was that the none setting sealant around the trim had ouzed out in places and it would take them a days work to put it back in and even then it might come out again! So the offer was now £35000. Other pathetic reasons were listed. None of which could justify more than £1000 reduction.
So I took to AI to check their story as I had seen this on many vans.
“sealant oozing out from under your motorhome's exterior trim is normal and often means the primary butyl tape or non-setting mastic underneath is doing its job by compressing and filling the joint. Why It Happens in warm Weather: Heat from the sun softens the butyl tape or mastic hidden behind the trim, causing the excess material to expand and squeeze out past the edges.Vibration and Flexing: As your motorhome travels down the road, wind pressure and road bumps compress the trim, forcing out any over-generous sealant applied at the factory. Is It Important? No (Cosmetic): If the seal is just slightly bulging or sticky it is mostly a cosmetic nuisance”.
Another addition to John’s tale was that he had showed the report to his potential buyer and he now didn’t want it. But he would take it off my hands for £35k.
Got to say your customer replied awfully quick. So the reason for this review is something that we already know about motor dealers. Make sure you count your fingers after shaking hands on a deal as Brownhills try all the tricks of the trade as well!
Darren the hymer parts manager was brilliant. We needed a new spare part for our shower in our Hymer, he asked for the chassis number and confirmed the part needed really quickly. Great, reliable and accurate service. Thank you

My five year saga continues - I find all the good reviews very alarming given my experience which has been appalling. I could fill 4 A4 pages with everything Brownhills have done to me and the state of my Motorhome which I bought new. I can only assume that their lawyers get the bad ones taken down.

Beware! Our original experience buying a brand new vehicle was good. I now realise it is easy to sell a vehicle to an eager customer BUT when things go wrong this company denies its legal responsibilities. We had an engine failure and called Fiat assist at 8 months old (as instructed by Brownhills at point of sale should such a problem arise). Fiat Assist towed it to a Fiat main dealer. Fiat agreed to honour the warranty and provide the necessary replacement engine etc.
We were repeatedly promised completion dates by Fiat and Brownhills but it never was completed. Many months later we practically begged Brownhills to buy the van off us for a part exchange price. They flatly refused. We had previously tried to reject the vehicle under the consumer rights act which they also flatly refused citing reasons that we now know are simply not in-line with the law. Brownhills Customer Services Manager continually cited unfounded reasons why we could not legally reject which were simply incorrect. I cannot state this strongly enough. They were always trying to push the blame and responsibility to Fiat and that we hadn’t taken the vehicle to them despite us following the exact procedure they told us in writing we must follow in the event of a breakdown!
We found ourselves forced into engaging a legal team to fight our case with Brownhills. Despite the sound legal case presented to Brownhills by Stormcatcher Law, Brownhills continued to deny responsibility. The essence of the case was that the vehicle had an inherent fault at point of sale and/or was not fit for purpose. The simple fact that Fiat agreed to repair under warranty proved this point. This therefore meant that the burden of proof (which lies with the customer if the vehicle is more than 6 months old) had been met. Any repair must be done in a ‘timely manner and without significant inconvenience’ to the customer and responsibility for this lies with the retailer NOT the manufacture. After 3 months of legal wrangle Stormcatcher Law finally won the argument and got us a settlement from Brownhills.
Of course there is no compensation that can truly cover the loss of use and 9 months of stress. DO NOT BUY a Fiat Ducato motorhome from Brownhills (or perhaps anywhere) without first doing your own research, I recommend looking at the various Facebook Fiat Ducato and general motorhome owners groups. There are just too many others in similar positions.
Oh and by the way the vehicle is still at the Fiat dealer and not yet fixed.
Update following the company's response to this review:
Incredible! They are still saying they did not have chance to inspect the vehicle - they could have inspected it at the main dealer at any time; the only reason it went to a main dealer is because when buying a vehicle from this company the customer has to sign a document stating that in the event of a breakdown Fiat Assist will be called.
They are still blaming Fiat. Yes Fiat customer service and parts availability (not to mention lack of quality products) is appalling but the responsibility for repair (under consumer rights law) lies with the retailer not Fiat.
Yes we were lucky to be offered a settlement at the 11th hr. They were lucky we chose to accept it despite being told by our legal team it was too low. Sadly not all of their customers get offered a settlement at all.
Please note the company's own response is they cannot get parts to repair these vehicles. Yet they continue to sell them.
