MR Mouldings Limited Avis 

It is fairly disheartening following ample research to spend £100’s on beading, for the MR moulding team to deliver the wrong size and shape. Of course, it is our mistake to trust MR moulding and, unbeknown to our carpenter, installed the wrong product on our walls. It immediately looked out of sorts for the room.

Much to my further disappointment, after the error had been raised and offer only to send some replacements to those already installed (at great expense), the team have brushed it under the carpet with ongoing silence to my outreach. I would be even more so out of pocket (re-installing and delays), thus now have effectively paid to have the wrong items on our walls. The team is non-responsive on the matter.

I suspect (hope) this is an isolated incident for their operations team. Moreover, it says more about their customer service. The chap I spoke to on the phone seemed very helpful initially, thus I can only assume it’s a managerial issue.

I cannot fault the quality of the actual item.

Had been looking for a picture rail to complete a bedroom renovation, so delighted to find it on MR Mouldings, it looks perfect now fitted.
Was delivered in a couple of days as stated.

Really helpful. I called this morning to request some more details on a piece of moulding. Adam sent the CAD drawings over to me straight away and then helped me with placing the order.

I’ve spent hours looking for something and this is the best customer service I’ve received from a company selling these products. Would definitely recommend!

No answer to emails, the time for the delivery was not as promised, one item has not delivered and nobody contacted (deliverd 14 sticks instead of15) , but the quality is good

Well packaged with a little bit of a mix up when got delivered but with a phone call it was sorted out straight away thanks to MR

Purchased Torus skirting boards and architraves, and picture rail over the course of the last 2 months for my own renovation project. Delivery was incredibly fast after the first time as the workshop was setting up. Primed goods arrived in very good condition and will definitely be using MRM for all woodwork around the house.

This store was more expensive than an alternative supplier I used, but offered a size of architrave I required where other stores did not, so proceeded. I opted to collect my order, but then had to wait 30 mins in their yard with poor communication from their team before I received the goods and on top of this, I was even told to wonder around the warehouse myself to find an operative to help (after already waiting 25 mins). Once getting the architrave home, I found the quality to be poor with chips throughout, and that the smaller architrave was in fact just a larger architrave that had been ripped down. This is fine, but the cut edge was not even primed?? Which I could have done myself. I thought I had paid for a professional service. I also ordered two different lengths of the same size architrave only to only find that the profiles differed in size by roughly 3-4mm, so the mitres were off. Again, extremely poor and I have had to modify this on site. I will not be using this store again and would not recommend them.

delays in delivery should be 3 to 5 weeks not days . lied to me every time i contacted you.by telling me next day delivery five times on the trot. sub standard products. looks like primer applied with a yard broom. had to sand down every piece before fitting . sent an email to complain haven’t heard a thing. will never use again and strongly advise to others DONT USE.
been a carpenter my whole working life forty five years and never had skirting’s and architrave this bad. even howdens are better and that’s saying something .if there was a no star option i would have chose it

Really bad customer service. Delivery on website stated 3/5days. They have 0 tracking service. It came after 15days after frustratingly ringing numerous times. Kept on making excuses as to why the delivery is still not dispatched. Considering I live in Birmingham only 2hours away from the company. On top of that NO apology.
I definitely wouldn’t recommend this company.

Lets start with a positive - the MDF skirting and Architrave were an OK quality and better than some other samples I had asked for online.
I've placed 2 orders totalling well over 2k. Missed deliveries x5... yes 5 times I was promised a dispatch or a delivery for it not to happen.
Huge charges for a delivery.
Ordered 4.4m lengths to be told 4.2 were manufactured
Paid for 1st order over the phone to be told 1 week later I hadn't placed an order (they did eventually find it, only then did I get an invoice)
If you want an example of how this business is run.... Look at the claims on their homepage and then read the terms and conditions - They just don't match, so somewhat pointless.
I would suggest that whilst I am sure they are a good supplier, they have set up a website and can't cope with the amount of orders they receive. (Evidence of this would be that for 1 of my missed dispatch dates I was told items were not sent "as we only have 1 man that packs and he was to busy to get the shipment out).
The upshot of all this is I lost money with day rate carpenters because M R Mouldings don't, in reality, offer the speed of service they claim. When they do give you dates, even when you allow contingency time, the delivery date is missed and it costs. Buy from somewhere else or if you are local perhaps collection would be a better solution
