Top customer service
The colour and tone of the otherwise ideal console unit I ordered was unfortunately different enough from the website photos to clash with the decor of the room for which it was intended.
The immediate communication and helpful response from the Ruma customer service department was excellent, and much appreciated. I would have every confidence in future in ordering from their site.

The Lamp was delivered quickly and is just perfect. Nice and chunky which is exactly what I was looking for. The only thing is, there was no shade included but that was my fault, due to not reading the description properly. I initially seen the lamp on another website which was much more expensive for the same item, the shade was included but that didn't justify the difference in price. Excellent value for the product

New pergola
The pergola i ordered was just what i wanted . The staff were so helpful when i ordered it and although at the time of ordering not everything was in stock i was kept full informed by the team of the progress of the missing item and an eventual delivery date to me.

I found exactly the lamp shade I had been looking for on numerous internet sites without success. Good choice of sizes and shapes all suitable for E27 bulbs.

Delivery and wonky table
Ordering process very straight forward but delivery not as fast as expected. When it arrived, the box was bashed up and I was concerned about damage to the product inside. When i checked there were no obvious scrapes or scratches I unpacked the items and am mostly pleased except my table is slightly wonky - maybe from the delivery? So apart from the wonky table, I'm generally happy wirh my purchase. UPDATE: Table is fine - i just hadn't clicked it into place properly!

Damaged item, missing delivery and no accountability to resolve
I ordered a parasol and wheeled base from Ruma, and the experience has been very frustrating. The base arrived smashed, and when I asked about a replacement I was told it would take 10 days to send — completely unacceptable for a damaged item that was Ruma’s fault, not mine.
On top of this, they wouldn’t process a refund for the damaged base until it was collected (no time frame given on this), but I could have one if I disposed of it myself!
To make matters worse, the parasol didn’t turn up at all. Instead of taking ownership, Ruma’s customer service told me to chase their delivery partner (Furdeco) directly myself, despite the fact that I placed my order with Ruma, not their courier. Furdeco has been impossible to get in contact with — I have repeatedly been on hold and then the line cuts off.
I am still to resolve the issue of the missing parasol and have had to order a base from a different company
