Welcome to Rūma

Delivery and wonky table
Ordering process very straight forward but delivery not as fast as expected. When it arrived, the box was bashed up and I was concerned about damage to the product inside. When i checked there were no obvious scrapes or scratches I unpacked the items and am mostly pleased except my table is slightly wonky - maybe from the delivery? So apart from the wonky table, I'm generally happy wirh my purchase. UPDATE: Table is fine - i just hadn't clicked it into place properly!

Damaged item, missing delivery and no accountability to resolve
I ordered a parasol and wheeled base from Ruma, and the experience has been very frustrating. The base arrived smashed, and when I asked about a replacement I was told it would take 10 days to send — completely unacceptable for a damaged item that was Ruma’s fault, not mine.
On top of this, they wouldn’t process a refund for the damaged base until it was collected (no time frame given on this), but I could have one if I disposed of it myself!
To make matters worse, the parasol didn’t turn up at all. Instead of taking ownership, Ruma’s customer service told me to chase their delivery partner (Furdeco) directly myself, despite the fact that I placed my order with Ruma, not their courier. Furdeco has been impossible to get in contact with — I have repeatedly been on hold and then the line cuts off.
I am still to resolve the issue of the missing parasol and have had to order a base from a different company

We are very happy with our product
We are very happy with our product. There was some slight damage to the parasol but this was rectified quickly and a replacement sent out within a few days. I would recommend this company.

I ordered some furniture and realised…
I ordered some furniture and realised there was a 10 working day delivery time. I contacted Ruma spoke to Jo in customer service and she was somehow able to get the furniture delivered early. Unfortunately there was slight damage to one piece and they immediately sent out a replacement. Very very happy with the consistently great service I received. The furniture is great quality and value. I’d definitely recommend and use again

Customer service was excellent!
Customer service was excellent!! They were all amazingly helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about their products. I bought several items - an outdoor parasol, parasol base and parasol cover. Even though I had to return the parasol as it looked the wrong shape and size for my patio once in place, they couldn’t have been more helpful in organising the return and refund. Lovely service and products. Very happy to recommend.

Great customer service
I had ordered a couple of lamps, one had a crack at the base.
Ross in the customer services department was amazing- prompt, efficient and helpful. The lamp was replaced immediately and without quibble.
Would use this company again.

Excellent quality and reasonable prices
I recently ordered 2 medium sized table lamps. The items were delivered promptly and were well wrapped and protected. The lamps look really stunning and the quality is excellent, considering the reasonable price. I would definitely buy from Ruma again in the future.

Chose a couple of lampshades from your website, which was very clear and easy to use. A little leap of faith as I hadn't bought from the company before, but delighted with the shades, which are of excellent quality and arrived beautifully and carefully packaged to protect them in transit.
