I used to be worker they owed me money and never paid me.

They took my money 1000Cad and disappeared.

We had to cancel our move-in/move-out cleaning. We received a credit. Tried to book an appointment and they are out of business. There goes $450.00.

Cleaners when they came were mostly (with a couple of exceptions) not very skilled or prepared. I still had two cleaning service dates left on an agreement (I did not renew for more) and by all accounts looking at other recent reviews the company has ceased operations. I know they have not been answering any of my emails, phone calls or text and their website can no longer be accessed. They are not reliable.

Supposed to have a cleaner today but no one showed up, shady business and theft if you ask me. Owe us cleans we paid for and no one answers calls or emails.

This company has ceased operations but have not yet declared bankruptcy (as of October 7, 2023).
Do not give them your money. IT WILL DISAPPEAR! BUYER BEWARE!

Scrubbi company has unfortunately declared bankruptcy and as a result, all employees have been let go. Consequently, for those with existing contracts with Scrubbi, there will be no further oversight, and unfortunately, refunds or services cannot be provided.

I have worked for this company. The CEO of this company does not pay his cleaners. He uses us and then not reply to calls or emails. Then hires more people and doesn't pay them. I would recommend hiring a company or a private person that cares about you and /or their cleaners. Also this company will sign a contract with their customers and has a no refund policy. So you as the customer you will not get any of your money back. Think about hiring them to clean your home and remember they do not pay and will take your money. You will get nothing in return or poor cleaning jobs. They are in the news and have closed the doors. They are still taking bookings for new clients and still charging old clients for more services that will never arrive.

Please do not work for this company! I worked for this company for two months and never received a bad rating. I was always rated a 4.3 or higher.
The reason why I say, not to work for this company is because they do not pay their employees. It has been 3 weeks and I haven’t received my pay check.
When I try to call or email their “care department” that deals with payroll. I am being ignored. Now I have to go through the ministry of labour to try and get the money that is owed to me. Please do not waste your time with this company!

Imagine not being paid for three weeks going onto four weeks and the HR department tells you just be patient!

This company is holding onto $1,258.48.
It has been four weeks of nonpayment. And they’re showing no intention to pay me!

And now they are completely ignoring my calls. This company is disgusting. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE.

Imagine not paying your workers and then ignoring them.

In the last five days I have had 3 bookings with Scrubbi and was notified of the time before each booking. Not one of the booking appointments was met by the cleaner that was booked. I think that there never was a cleaner booked and that Scrubbi scammed me all along. I have been a customer for about four years and have had a good experience. However this week has been a disaster, Scrubbi charged my credit card for a year's worth of service and then this happened. I believe I have been deliberately scammed. This isn't even worth the one star as no one showed up ever. No calls or emails replied to as well. Shame on you.

However, since then, the payments have ceased, and the company now owes me a substantial sum of $2800. This is not an isolated incident, as Scrubbi has made headlines twice in the past year for similar complaints from other contractors. The excuse provided by Scrubbi has consistently been blaming it on the banks and technical issues arising from their attempt to transition to a new payroll system.

Lack of Communication:
One would expect a responsible business to communicate openly and transparently with its contractors when facing payment issues. Regrettably, Scrubbi has failed miserably in this regard. Despite the mounting payment issues and contractor frustrations, not a single word of communication has been offered to explain or address these problems. This lack of communication leaves contractors in the dark and raises serious concerns about Scrubbi's commitment to its workforce.

Client Dissatisfaction:
The issues with Scrubbi extend beyond their treatment of contractors. Numerous clients have also voiced their dissatisfaction with the company's services. Many have encountered various problems, such as inconsistent cleaning quality, missed appointments, and unresponsive customer support. These issues have left a trail of disappointed clients who have made it clear that they will not be renewing their contracts with Scrubbi.

I purchased several thousand dollars of cleaning services from Scrubbi for my two air b and b apartments in Ottawa.

I have had terrible experience with this company on multiple fronts.

Many times cleaners showed up who did not know how to make up a bed with clean sheets ( I have personally shown 5 of their cleaners how to make up a bed), multiple times their cleaner showed up several hours late and twice in the past week, their cleaner did not show up at all. This has caused serious issues for me.

I am running a business and my guests comfort as well as my income are important to me.

Scrubbi’s undependability is damaging my business and causing me unnecessary stress.

Communication is very poor. They do not answer the phone and when messages are left calls are not returned. nor are or emails.

I was hired as an independant contractor. They still owe me $1,600.00 and its been 5 business days with no response. I have called over 10 times and emailed 9 times without any response. They will hire you as an independant contractor to limit your legal rights and to scam you out of your labor and money. They also tell customers not to tip because its included in the cost of the cleaning. Don't work for or use scrubbi.

I work for scrubbi for 2 weeks and they own me 417 for the 2 weeks and I still have not been payed do not take a job with scrubbi it is the worst company to work for and I'm.not the only one they are not paying

Terrible. A young man showed up with a spray bottle of vinegar and nothing else. He was here for 3 hours and I'm not sure why? He mopped the kitchen and bathroom floors and did little else. I submitted a complaint and was offered a re-cleaning for today, but they no showed. And they do not offer refunds. Lame service. Never again.

I WORKED FOR THIS COMPANY AND THEY REFUSED TO PAY ME TWICE… EVEN AFTER I ENDED MY TWO WEEK NOTICE WITH THEM THEY STILL HAVE YET TO PAY ME MY LAST PAYCHEQUE…. IT HAS BEEN THREE WEEKS NOW.
NOT TO MENTION THEY HIRE ANYONE OFF OF THE STREET AND DO NOT GIVE PROPER TRAINING AND EVEN WHEN THEY DO “Clean” IT JUST SURFACE CLEANING… EVERY SINGLE CLIENTS HOUSE I CLEANED COULDNT WAIT TO END THEIR CONTRACT WITH SCRUBBI BECAUSE THEY HAVE AN AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE VOICE OVER THE PHONE BUT WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO THE CLEANING AND HOW THEY TREAT THEIR CONTRACTORS/EMPLOYEES THEY COMPLETELY SUCK!

They do not pay their employees. They made the news in Vancouver from the same issue over a year ago! No wonder jobs are not being completed, they soon find out they aren't getting paid so they stop caring. They also threaten a 2000$ fee for quiting without 2 weeks notice. Not to mention we are responsible for all other costs. This business is a scam they just collect money and have to pay for nothing up front. No training either

Extremely deceptive and unprofessional company. Cleaners sent a message saying they arrived at 9:00AM, but called at 9:45 AM saying they couldn't get into our house despite us having providing the code and requesting it be added to our file. This happened every time. One time we received a message they had arrived and were cleaning but we were home and they definitely were not there. They have also left our front door unlocked. Terrible, incomplete cleaning. I struggled to find anything they actually accomplished - except cleaning our oven and leaving it full of chemical cleaners that created smoke and a terrible smell the next time we used it. They lie saying they leave later than they actually do. We had several cleaning sessions and never had the same cleaner. Absolute rip-off. Avoid using this business.

DO NOT WORK FOR THEM unless you enjoy working for free. My niece who is 18 got a job and was so excited. First off you cannot call a direct supervisor or manager it’s a call center even for employees. Then they transfer you to HR you leave a message they never call you back. Her login application quit working, no one to get a hold of to find out about appointments. Then there is the massive issue. They tell you it’s great they take no taxes so you can claim everything on income tax… noooo. You pay your gas, supplies everything with no reimbursement and then come payday they do not pay you. Her first pay was a week and a half late and we hammered them everyday. She is still waiting for her second pay that was due a week and a half ago. They say it’s a new system, it’s in a processing que or it’s your bank. This business is committing fraud I would give it minus 10 if I could, we got her to quit and are now pursuing her pay that they haven’t paid. Such a joke.

I have been a loyal customer and have always appreciated the level of service I've received in the past. However, my recent experience has left me thoroughly unsatisfied and concerned.
