Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are always happy to read feedback and are so pleased you are happy with your order and our service. Thank you
The product differed from the website picture.
I ordered plain pine spindles which the website illustration shows to be knot free. The spindles I received each had between 5 and 15 knots; some knots were on edges creating a nick in the surface and others had cracks requiring filling. All these knots had to be sealed before painting. A huge amount of work and extra expense created by a disappointing product which, wittingly or unwittingly, the website marketed dishonestly.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We take all customer feedback seriously and strive to continuously improve our services. We have been trying to get in touch with yourself to discuss this but have been unsuccessful. Please allow us to address the points you raised in your review:
- The product you have ordered is pine which is known to have
small live knots which is a general characteristic of this timber
in which we do refer to in our terms and conditions and advice
and planning.
- The image displayed on the website is a finished oak spindle,
which we do advise upon in the description of the product as t
his is for photography purposes only as the product will also
be supplied unfinished.
- We do have a generous 30 day money back guarantee in
which we are more than happy to accept any returns for a
refund.
If there is anything we can help with regarding this please do not hesitate to get in touch and thank you for your custom.
Porch spindles
Quick service and good quality product. Good info on delivery times etc. but it would be helpful to have more info on webpage I.e. I only need the middle third of spindle but couldn’t determine the length of turned wood. As it happens it’s just about right.
And, does nobody produce shorter spindles (about 37cms long). There’s a whole estate here with this size porch spindles. ?

Poor advice.
Before ordering my bannister, I called your sales helpline! I asked what size screws they would suggest for a brick wall and the suggested spacing between fixings. I was told as they weren't installing it they couldn't advise! Surely they could have said as a guide we suggest this.

Thank you for taking the time to review our business, all feedback is important to us and we do apologise that you did not receive the advice you were looking for.
We are primarily wood turners and types of brick are outside of our remit. We always recommend speaking to a qualified tradesperson for advice on specific projects. We are always happy to help where ever we can and are sorry that on this occasion we were not able to provide the information you requested.
Thank you for your custom.
