Used Sterling FX for the first time and of course their rates beat the big banks etc but also a couple of on line rivals that we looked at

Easy to use and money arrived quickly. I realised when I placed my order that I needed to take out more money and there wasn’t a way to adjust my order online for the new amount. I ended up placing a new order that incurred the additional postage costs. Being able to adjust your order online within a certain timeframe would be great.

Overall fine
Overall fine, but I requested small denominations, followed up with a call to request 5&10 notes, and was told they put a note on my order, but received mainly 20€ notes which was disappointing. Was also surprised it was literally cash shoved into an external cardboard envelope, every other company I’ve ordered from the cash comes in some kind of small wallet/envelope inside the external packaging to keep it together.

Second or third time I've used them…
Second or third time I've used them now. As per previous times, Euros arrived the next day, very competitive rate and when I asked for a mix of notes that's what I got.
Like the old Ronseal ad: "Does what it says on the tin".

When small value bills aren't that small
I used SterlingFX specifically because of it's ability to provide small denomination bills (with medium and large as the other options), which I needed for small value $ tips on holiday. It's not the cheapest out there, but I thought it was worth it for that. I even paid extra for them to source new bills, because I thought that would make it easier to obtain small bills. What I received was mainly $20 bills. I don't consider those small and certainly no use for the purpose for which I needed them. They will say (as they responded by email) that they don't guarantee denominations and encourage customers to email specific requirements (the latter of which I certainly don't recall). The rest of the service was fine but if I'd known the outcome, I would have gone elsewhere.
