New lantern added.

Alan R has just saved our summer.

We had a number of pleated blinds installed for sliding doors and bifold doors a few years back.

He has just been back to install a lantern blind for a large kitchen skylight.

The service and the banter was just as good as last time. The installation was very quick and he tidied everything up afterwards.

Before leaving Alan checked the existing and new remotes worked and that all phone connections to the hub worked too.

Charles and his colleague were friendly and efficient .
He took time to explain how to use it , change batteries etc and answer any questions .

Just had our amazing pleated door screen fitted by Steve.
Setting up a consultation was very easy and Jake was very helpful when he came to show us different options.
Steve then came to do a survey, he arrived promptly and was exceedingly knowledgeable about the whole process.
He returned today to fit the door screen, again he was prompt, friendly and totally professional. The screen itself is beautifully made, fits perfectly and glides easily back and forth. It is so nice to have air flow without the insects moving in!

We recently bought a pleated insect screen for our French doors. All the team have been professional, great communication throughout and the fitter, Colin, was tidy, efficient and respectful of our home. Initially the screen was great and very effective. Unfortunately our dog (a staffie) tried to walk through the screen a few times (maybe he couldn’t see it) but we pulled him back each time. Parts of the screen came off the lower rails and the strings that move the screen in and out sagged. We can’t now fully close the screen. Having spent over £1k we were not prepared to spend another £300 to get it picked up and fixed. It is a great product, but we gave it two stars because if you have pets you need to be aware of the situation and think carefully before purchasing.

Efficient and professional throughout the assessment, survey, customer support, installation. Awning is of great quality, awning installed by superb technicians, Work area kept clean throughout and quality of the installation/ fittings first class.

Asked for a brochure, never received it, but getting constant phone calls that I never asked for. Pain in the ….company

The whole process from start to finish was exceptional. Molly was extremely knowledgable and professional and helped choose the correct product for our terrace.
A special mention also to the fitting team, Charles and Tom who worked quickly and carefully, completing the installation to a very high standard. They took the time to explain how everything works and left the area clean & tidy. I am delighted!!!

The screen is virtually invisible and such a clever design. Not cheap but well worth the money.

I cannot recommend Appeal Shading based on my experience.

I ordered powered roller blinds for 3 rooms and paid my deposit in advance, expecting a professional installation service.

A survey was carried out before installation, yet when the installation team arrived on 11 June 2026 they did not have the necessary equipment to work safely at the required height. As a result, the blinds were not installed. This was entirely avoidable and resulted in my wife and me wasting an entire morning dealing with the situation.

To make matters worse, the earliest replacement appointment offered was 21 July 2026, almost six weeks later. During this period we have been unable to benefit from the blinds, which were purchased in part to reduce solar gain in our home. The delay has been particularly frustrating during the recent spell of very hot and sunny weather.

To Appeal’s credit, they have acknowledged that the failed installation resulted from an internal error following the departure of the original surveyor and that the working at height requirements were not recorded properly. However, despite accepting responsibility, they have not taken any meaningful steps to expedite installation or offered any gesture of goodwill to recognise the wasted appointment, the inconvenience caused or the lengthy delay in completing the installation due to their error. We were left feeling that we had been put to the back of the installation queue due Appeal’s poor organisation and planning and that we had no choice but to accept this and put up with it.

Mistakes can happen, but how a company responds to them is what really matters. Unfortunately, in my experience, Appeal Shading’s customer service has fallen well below the standard I expected for a premium product and installation service.

We were referred to Appeal Shading by our neighbour and are very pleased with the finished product. It has only been installed for a day, but it looks excellent, feels sturdy and appears to be very good quality.

A special mention must go to Paul C., who carried out the measuring and installation. He was a thorough professional from start to finish. He was knowledgeable, efficient, quick and extremely tidy, as well as patient and genuinely pleasant to have in our home. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of him.

The only area that could be improved is communication during the process. We sometimes had to chase for updates, and it felt as though the different teams were not always fully coordinated. However, when I eventually spoke to someone in the accounts team, she was lovely and made a real effort to help.

Overall, we are very happy with the product and would recommend Appeal Shading, particularly based on the excellent service provided by Paul C.
