I RECIEVED GOOD SERVICE, EVERYTHING CAME THAT WAS NEEDED,AND WITH THE HELP OF A NEIGHBOUR IT IS ALL SET UP AND WORKING,I RANG CUSTOMER SERVICES WITH A QUESTION ABOUT POSSIBLY WEARING THE WRIST MONITOR ON MY RIGHT WRIST AND IT WAS EXPLAINED TO ME WHY THAT WASNT I GOOD IDEA,NO COMPLAINTS FROM ME.

Please of mind

Fast delivery, easy to set up and also to do a test call, which checks everything is working properly,very polite lady on call answered by using my mums name which I thought was very nice and reassuring for my mum.
Would highly recommend this especially with the fall plan as piece of mind for my 87yr old mum and also myself

There was a slight delay in receiving…

There was a slight delay in receiving the item due to an online glitch with the order. Once received it was a very straight forward process to set up and make the test call.

Disgraceful

Although a help to my father when he fell, was totally shocked that when my father died after having the care line for approx 8 weeks we were not offered any sort of refund of annual monies paid. A total disgrace whether in the terms and conditions or not. We were advised we could pass the care line system to someone else if we wished. Sorry, we are happy to say we don’t know another vulnerable person at this time.

Firstly, please let us start by saying that I'm very sorry for your loss. Please accept our sincerest sympathies. This must be a very difficult time for you and your family.

We do have a minimum contract period of 12 months but in the event that the service is not required, we can transfer the service to another individual to use for the duration at no additional cost to them.

Whilst we understand that this may not always be possible, unfortunately we are unable to offer a refund at this point.

Our responsibility to our users and their families/carers is of paramount importance. And that's why we try to be as transparent as possible and mention in our terms and conditions that we cannot offer a refund outside of the cool off period.

We hope that we have provided you with a better understanding of how our service works. But if you need anything further, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team.

We signed up for a pendant alarm for my…

We signed up for a pendant alarm for my mother in law and was very clear that we were unsure if it would work in our house signal wise, due to the old solid wall construction. We were assured that if this was the case, we could cancel in full within the 14 day cancellation period. As predicted it could not pick up the signal between the main unit plugged into the router and the alarm, so had to be returned. Careline 24 received this within 10 days and returned £189 minus £40 to apparently set up the service!! This was not pointed out by the sales team, had it been we would not have bought as was doubtful it would work to begin with and clearly were concerned with this.
I have emailed several times, had no reply and called twice, having been assured a manager would call me. No one has called back.
This is shocking service. Additionally to keep £40 of a pensioners income for something that clearly was not stated or that seems legal too under the goods of service act is disgraceful.
I would not recommend this company at all!!

Please check the small print before…

Please check the small print before buying online. I purchased one of these and sadly my mother became terminally ill before it came out of the box. I only received a partial refund as the unit had been ‘programmed’. Despite being told this could be reprogrammed for a resale the refund is minus £40 which is apparently the charge for initially inputting a persons details into the unit.

Reassured

My fall alarm monitor and wrist band arrived very promptly and was very easy to install. I felt very reassured once I had tested it and heard a friendly operator’s voice confirming that all was in place.

Excellent product and gives peace of mind to myself and an elderly user. Took a while to complete the order as form filling is one of my pet hates. However, arrived very quickly and well packaged and so easy to set up.

Good service from initial contact to registration. Easy to install. Only issue the watch style strap. Difficult for people with arthritis to fit onto wrist. Would be better with an adjustable expandable strap

Provides re-assurance for people on their own

Ordered the alarm/fall detector version from the website for a neighbour on her own and also submitted her personal information eg doctor etc, using the on-line form - as no kit is sent out until this is received on- line or by post. Kit arrived in 2 days and was straightforward to connect up to the existing landline phone. Neighbour performed test activation and call centre staff answered with her name, so we knew it was all working. Reasonable annual fee for the re-assurance it gives, especially if prone to falls as the base unit has built in microphone and speaker. Not to be confused with similar sounding companies-which may be or may not be as good!
