Polygence Avis 

Polygence provides a very flexible yet rigorous learning experience. Students can choose a variety of research topics to study, which other online research institutions can't offer. The staff is responsive, and the reminder system is effective at tracking students' progress.

My mentor gave me wonderful guidance in writing my paper, and was very supportive throughout the process. It was my first time writing a research paper, and I was able to learn researching skills which will definitely be helpful in the future. The program for feedback was also extremely helpful. They gave detail and suggestions in the feedback, which was really nice. Throughout the process, I learned more about a topic of interest, and it helped me consider what I want to do as a career. I am very glad I joined this program, and I would definitely recommend it.

My son had a wonderful experience with his mentor. She was friendly, approachable and flexible with his busy schedule. There's no way he would've been able to achieve what he did without her assistance, and it was an especially great match because his topic was her area of expertise. He came away inspired, has an even deeper interest in Astrophysics, and her advice about his future major was invaluable.

What made my experience great was how interactive and fun it felt. What made it fun was how engaging and enjoyable everything felt. It felt like exploring something new and enjoying every moment of it.

It is a very good first time experience for a high schooler. The mentor is very organized, guided and engaged my child through the process well. We are very proud of the outcome and achievement.

My mentor was always very receptive to my concerns and was happy to accommodate with the route I wished for my paper to go.

My son had a good experience with this project. It really improved his writing capabilities and we feel that he gathered writing skills based on the constant feedback he was receiving from the mentor.

My daughter wrote a very interesting paper and she is now going to publish it with UC Irvine. Her mentor has been very knowledgeable and supportive.

Well supported process of writing a research paper with a mentor

Polygence provides a helpful experience for high schoolers who want to do research. My daughter wanted to do experimental research and analyze her results in the paper, and her mentor Andrew helped her design the experiment and guided her with the steps she would take in the experiment and further chemical analyses she would do. Although my daughter was happy with the help she got, we believe a student's experience really depends on their mentor and how much the mentor cares for their work. Another mentor might not have been so attentive and helpful. Polygence also only offers 2 opportunities for official writing check and only 10 sessions, which my daughter felt were not enough.

It was really flexible which gave me enough freedom.

A well organized platform for students to do the research from knowledgeable mentors who are sincere n helpful providing the guidance needed.

It was awesome for my son to have an opportunity to work on a project he has interest in for his long term career.This inspite of our geographic location in Trindad and Tobago...having exposure to a US based program.The updates on assignments and progress was excellent. The match to a mentor was perfect, the user interface and features of the Polygence website and app itself is very well thought out, and there are several resources available to help with completing your project.

Very organized with excellent communication. The platform was easy to navigate and assigned tasks were clearly posted with deadlines. Mentor was well versed in research techniques and worked well with my son. Overall wonderful experience and a great introduction to research!

I enjoyed the structure, and how the program guided me. However, it still allowed for creativity as well.

It was an opportunity that allowed me to stay close to my passions and interests. Lily was always there for me, and she helped me more than I could ask! She also supported me with my research paper and my college application process! Her support, encouragement, and understanding were a big part of my continuing my work and finishing it. We also exchanged our experiences and cultures, making me feel ready to pursue my education journey in the United States; I have built a strong relationship with her. More importantly, participating in the Polygence program was more than I expected! I have built my research skills and problem-solving and produced a longer writing length than I ever imagined. I am truly grateful for the experience!

Thank you for guiding my child through the research process to completion with Polygence. It would have been ideal to finish everything during the summer break due to the time difference with the U.S., but unfortunately, we missed over a month of classes in July because of teacher's vacation, which was the most regrettable part. It seemed quite challenging to balance schoolwork and research during the academic term. I also hope you can assist with the publishing process.
