Delayed by outage
Loading the account and transfers are always easy ... except on a few occasions when i have gone to do a transfer and there has been a system outage that has caused frustration and some anxiety. Sometimes I have/need to send money immediately when requested.
Otherwise it is for the easiness of transfer that i stay with this service.

Rocket Remit's halved limits make it problematic to continue with them.
This has been a great service and until recently has served my needs well. I now support 9 families in Nigeria, Uganda and Ethiopia. Rocket Remit was a fast, reliable service.
However, recently I have been frustrated and angered by Rocket Remit's downtime frequency (due to, I suspect, poorly planned or pre-tested upgrades in Australia, not the occasional network outages in recipient countries). For me, this problem has cancelled the benefit of near-instant remittances. It also increases my nervousness about the reliability of the service when I really need it.
More significantly, Rocket Remit have now halved their daily limit to $1,000 and halved the maximum remittance amount to $500. The previous limits were perfect for me, but this move means that it will now take me 4 to 5 days to complete all my regular monthly remittances. And coupled with occasional additional requests from Africa for immediate emergency funds, it could easily take even longer.
Rocket Remit has been very good for me in the past. It has been a good partnership, but the limit changes in particular make me see that it's time for me to move on. They can no longer adequately support me in providing timely help to my recipients. I will now be looking to use multiple other remittance businesses to ensure I can provide my recipients with the funds they need in a realistic time frame. However, I really do wish that it wasn't necessary for me to do this!
In the absence of Rocket Remit wanting to tell me the exact reason for limits being halved, I'm surmising it has been done to increase their income, as people like myself must send between 2 and 4 remittances where previously it was only one. That's an immediate multiple increase in remittance fees. If this IS the reason, they are putting the desire for increased income ahead of keeping their loyal customer base.
How many people like me do they want to lose?
And no doubt, I'm only small fry!
Come on Rocket Remit, reinstate the previous limits!
