When the logic of the big 4 have you pulling your hair out, Yard proved to be straight forward, patient with me, and landed me with the result I wanted.

I’ll be continuing with Yard (Tian, particularly) in my loans and changes over many years to come.

We had a very helpful and friendly woman helping us at Yard. We paid the very expensive $1000!! application fee and applied after being told multiple times on multiple calls on different days that the interest rate would be lowered in the future once my husband had had his ABN for 2 years (and that he was higher risk and we were getting a higher rate as he hadn't had his ABN 2 years).

When we applied at Yard my husband hadn't had his ABN for 2 years yet and we were given a very high interest rate of 7.69% and were told multiple times by this woman at Yard that as soon as he's had his ABN for 2 years that Yard will lower our interest rate - quoting her; "We'll re-look at your interest rate and will lower it once he's had his ABN for 2 years, so don't panic about the rate being so high". Now it's the 2 year mark (we haven't bought a house yet - just have pre-approval) and she is not lowering the interest rate based on the 2 year ABN time frame - they are only passing on the small RBA cut of 0.25% which makes it 7.44%! Not what was promised.

We were looking at an extremely expensive house last year $5m+ and if we bought that house we would have been locked in to this high interest rate when they had no intention of lowering it once my husband has had his ABN for 2 years as promised multiple times. I also noticed that she carefully made sure that the promise of lowering the rate was only verbal and not in any txts or emails. I feel very annoyed that I've been misled.

Also in response to the Yard response here there is no mention of foreign income in my review.

David’s approach during the approvals and to the point of closing the deal was very professional but with a great personal touch.
I would recommend David to any prospective clients.

If I could give Monique 10 stars I would. She is the only reason we got our home!! She is such a huge part of our journey. We wouldn't be where we are today without her and we can't say thankyou enough. We had other brokers loose us our dream house and then Monique came to the rescue and we were able to purchase it after our contract lapsed. She didn't only help get us a loan in 1 week she also convinced the realestate to cancel the home opens so we didn't have to go through another bidding war.
