Zapmap Avis 

I always use the ZapMap app when planning longer trips away from home so that I can identify convenient charging points en route and in the destination area. The user comments and photos are very useful for finding the exact locations and for highlighting charger reliability, performance, ease of use, any problems and the support available from the providers.

I haven’t tried using ZapMap to initiate charging as I find the provider apps or Electroverse perfectly adequate.

Charged at the Boat and Horses Oldham and recorded a successful charge on Zapmap.
I try to record on Zapmap my charging experiences. I found that recently Zapmap is not always up to date so that it helps to record discrepancies for future correction. The most recent being the Northbound chargers at Tebay services were not visible on the map.

ZapMap is a great app, showing the location, power level and price in one little map symbol. Very effective

In summary both the App and the Chargecard are excellent. They have removed loads of the hassle associated with having an electric vehicle.

Use it all the time to locate available chargers. I love being able to filter chargers by their power rating and availability. I also find the chat section extremely useful to see what other users' experience is of specific chargers. An excellent app and extremely helpful for planning routes with the best charging facilities

Following my previous review, I have now decided to reduce my rating to 1 star and close my Zapmap account altogether.

Zapmap eventually resolved my original issue, and I previously increased my rating from 2 to 3 stars to acknowledge that. However, what I cannot accept is that, as part of the proposed resolution, I was asked to edit/delete my previous Trustpilot review.

For me, that crosses a line.

Customer reviews should represent customers’ genuine experiences — good or bad. Resolving a complaint should be about putting the underlying problem right, not asking a customer to alter or remove their public account of what happened.

I initially tried to be fair. I increased my rating when the issue was eventually resolved despite the considerable back and forth involved. But the more I have considered the request concerning my review, the more uncomfortable I am with it.

I have therefore decided that I no longer wish to use Zapmap and have closed my account.

It’s particularly disappointing because I previously considered Zapmap a useful service and expected to continue using it. Unfortunately, my experience of the complaint process and the request concerning my Trustpilot review have changed my opinion completely.

Zapmap is excellent for finding nearby chargers, or planning a journey in the UK. The real-time availability is useful, and the check-in option gives confidence about chargers.
I've used it on a holiday up to the Outer Hebrides where it was particularly useful.
I did find that it's not much help in France, but that's a minor downside.

Zap Map is very comprehensive and shows nearly every charger there is available. It gives great information on each charger also, and the opportunity for users to share all that information and add to.

Of all the EV charging point apps, Zapmap gives the best real time information on what is working and available. Obviously it can't be 100% accurate, but on this it beats the competition.

I downloaded Zap-map before taking delivery of my first EV, at a time when public charging infrastructure was patchy at best. The information it provided enabled me to undertake journeys, confident in the situational awareness of charge point availability, reliability and where to find local facilities.

More than seven years on, charging infrastructure has improved almost beyond recognition, the availability of related information has similarly improved and is readily visible as I drive. However, when planning a journey, Zap-map still tends to be the app that I check first. On a very recent journey through the Scottish Highlands, I used Zap-map to choose a charging site that I knew had a good cafe, check the availability of charge points (they had been upgraded significantly, also increased in number), and check recent users' experiences. Still very useful indeed, and the go-to app for many.

Nine years with EVs and Zapmap is the go-to charger app. Easy to use and plan a longer journey through charger deserts.

Have been using Zapmap for years when out and about with my EV and have always found it invaluable.

I charge my car at home normally but if i need to charge away from home Zapmap is my go to app. Easy to use, gives me all the information i need. This charge was in Plymouth, i used my Zapmap card which worked first time. The carpark was free to use when i was there(bonus). The only thing that annoyed me is the fact that there are only two chargers there & there was a car at one charger not charging not even plugged in. The charger is about 10 mins walk from The Royal William Yard where there are plenty of places to eat & drink.

Excellent app with the most up to date info on EV chargers, including chats from fellow EV owners on charging experiences. Handy for paying via ZapPay too.

I never go off on my travels without using Zapmap to plan my charging stops . As a CHAdeMO user I need to know what my options are and whether they are working .
I have the filters on to look at the different choices on my route and read the ‘chat’ . These comments tell me when it was used and might highlight possible issues plus where the charger might be . It’s quite difficult to find one particularly charger in a busy motorway services.
I now try to contribute to the ‘chat’ and add a photo as so many chargers look different . It’s relatively easy to do & so useful for those of us using it.
Zapmap is an invaluable tool for the travelling EV driver.
