Currency Online Group Avis 

Requested mixed notes of Saudi Riyals total of just over £1000. They sent me all 10x500sar notes. 500sar is almost £100. It’s like trying to buy a meal deal with £50 note. They could confirm with customer if this was okay first. Then they have audacity to say you can return it but we will charge you x amount. I don’t know how I am going to get these changed in Saudi as no one here can change them.

Excellent service, money received as promised. Saving over £75 from what I would have received from Tesco.

Very good service, discreetly located in Waterloo station so nobody knows that you are carrying cash in or out.
I was a bit uneasy to leave my foreign currency with them - they don’t give any physical receipts but send an email instead and then transfer converted amount only next day. I would rate them down for the fact that they can’t give you reassurance better that that they have many reviews on Trust Pilot but I received my money the next day in the morning - less than 24 hours from my visit.
I questioned whether they are registered with FCA which they said they not required to be.
On the other hand one of many good points is that by the time I arrived to Waterloo about an hour after placing an order the rate changed in my favour and they honoured it without me even asking for it.

The first delivery of travel money was OK, but I haven't received the second order because they sent it with Royal Mail who have lied about attempting to deliver it claiming I wasn't in, when in fact I've been waiting at home all day. I know they didn't come because I've not been left a 'sorry we missed you' card.

What's made the whole situation worse is the fact that Currency Online Group don't provide any tracking details when you order, so I had no idea where the parcel was until 4pm when it never appeared and called them up. A great feeling not knowing where £2500 of currency is.

Currency Online Group - 1 - don't use Royal Mail, they are the worst postal service out of all of them. 2 - provide your customers with tracking details as standard so they don't waste an entire day sitting at home waiting for something that's not going to arrive.

It's Friday and now the earliest I can get my travel money is Monday. Probably won't use this company again.

This company is fantastic, great currency rate and good buy back rate. Used this company loads of times there really good, would highly recommend to anyone. Money comes day after you order, and if you send back it's in your account 3 days after. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I am having a similar experience with hidden charges as Steve had in his review. I wanted approx £750 worth of Euros for me to collect from Waterloo station - the screen (of which I have taken a screen print) is showing Euro 870, Exchange Rate 1.1538, GBP amount £754.03, Order Total £756.03. So the website is adding £2 for a collection over £750. Therefore I have not completed my order. Why isn't this made clearer earlier in the process?

Ordered online home delivery - comparison site says free delivery over 750, placed order and £2 delivery charge pops up - apparently only free if you pay by bank transfer - only visible when payment taken - wont use them again

Great communication, easy ordering, very quick confirmation of my money transfer, friendly staff, everything as ordered, with the money counted in front of me. Yes, you do have to go into a shared offices building and that adds 3-4 minutes to the pickup experience, but then it's literally at Waterloo station and the prices are very competitive. This doesn't make it dodgy!

However, as with all companies that offer online currency exchange pre-purchase to lock the rates: if the company goes bust between when you transfer your money to their account and when you pick it up, then you've lost your money. There are no protections like when you are buying through your credit card. This is the same for all online currency exchanges, not just this one.
