Great Experience with DBS Check Online
One of the great experiences I had using DBS Check Online is 'Ease of Use'- the application process is simple and user-friendly. Navigation and completing their DBS check online is easy. The other thing I noticed is the speed: fast turnaround times, with results within a few days.

This was a very expensive service
This was a very expensive service, it cost £160.40 for a basic check. When queried I was told I had purchased additional features. Apparently that cost extortionate money to check a picture.
When asked about this they said it was standard pricing. Would be much cheaper to do on Gov website. Absolutely no benefit for this service, and certainly not an additional £140.00 I also keep getting requested to do further ID checks, which no doubt will cost even more money. There is no invoice or breakdown of cost, so until you get you statement you have no idea

I have tried to upload my picture using my laptop but I failed.
I signed up for using the Post office for verifying my identity and paid an extra £12 but no email sent to me on how this will be done

Instead, you have selected the digital ID verification which costs and additional £12. Emails are sent out for you to complete this online.

Unfortunately, The Police are experiencing backlog with applications therefore it is taking them longer to complete the checks. If your application is stuck with the Police for over 60 days, you can request an escalation by contacting the government or DBS umbrella body with whom you placed your application with.
However, upon further investigation, we cannot locate an existing order for yourself.
Please provide us with an order number or email address so we can investigate this further.

Coming up to 2 months now
Coming up to 2 months now, been at stage 5 for 30 days, was told can take upto 10 yet here I am 30 days later, all checks done but still not printed, ive lost a weeks wages as was due to start new job on 1st dec(monday) still no news been sending emails to customer service yet they haven't even replied, was told can take upto 8 days for replies yet still nothing after over 2 weeks and 4 emails. Not a single communication throughout. Very stressed and continuing to lose money,

Given the information provided, it may be best to contact the Disclosure and Barring Service directly to request for your certificate to be printed.
As all Police checks are completed, the DBS should be able to print your certificate for you now. Please contact them on 03000 200 190.

The instructions were easy to follow…
The instructions were easy to follow and I was kept informed of progress by several emails. Taking the photo for ID would be easier with an iPhone, I struggled a bit with the IPad. Not a bad process though.
