Oak Tree Mobility Avis 

Unsolicited mail to my name although I have never been in touch with this company nor the data company Sagacity they have got my details from. The letter was irrelevant and upsetting and so I will never use this company.

My 80 year old mother saw the details of the company and contacted them for more information. She was told that an operative was in the area shortly after who arranged to come and demonstrate some of their chairs. After an initial in house demonstration of over 3 hours, she was told of a limited discount and she could get a riser chair, a standard chair and a double sofa reduced from £14800 to £9800. Under the pressure of the salesman in the house and the 'limited time' offer she signed to order the chairs. She then gave a payment of £4850 as a deposit. We got there c1 hour after and she was quite shaken. She did not even know what she had ordered. No contract was left and mum was kept saying 'I feel so stupid' and was very tearful. I immediately telephoned the man and asked him to contact me immediately. To his credit he phoned me back c20 minutes later. Despite saying he was surprised that mum was so shaken, he said he would administer the refund, but he could not do it himself, the head office needed to do it and it would be done first thing on Monday morning. Mum then sent an email confirming the same and asking that all future contact goes through me or my wife who has power of attorney. Lo and behold c1pm on Monday they begin ringing my mum who answered. Despite telling the woman on the phone that the order had been cancelled via email and by the operative my mum was told that they had no record on the system and that the order was still going through.

On hearing this I immediately rung the company. After 20 mins on hold I was told by the gentleman that they could not speak with me and that they could not take an email cancelling the order and the 'MUST' speak with my mum.

I have emailed my details and will be with her on Friday I anticipate so will have to get her to ring with me in the room.

My mum is genuinely really upset and shaken. These techniques are vintage hard sell and the company is clearly preying on the vulnerable. What really upsets me is seeing the many other reviews on the system stating as much. The cost of the chairs is extortionate, but the manner they are operating is really upsetting. All we want is confirmation that the money has been refunded. It is Monday and my mum notes that has have a negative impact on her sleep and she is visibly distressed.

I would absolutely 100% avoid this company at any costs.

Duncan was lovely, friendly and full of knowledge. She showed me every aspect of the chair, what it came with, what it could come with. Showed me how to use the controller and let me have a play and a long sit. Absolutely brilliant chap!

First time dealing with Oak tree mobility..could fault the young man that came to help us choose a chair.He was just so thorough in measuring for comfort, explained everything about the chair and it's function.All the way through from speak to someone about insurance on the chair to the gentleman that delivered my chair..I have nothing but praise for this company. I had been given a reclining chair by a friend but it really wasn't suitable for me, it was to low the arms were to low so I found it very difficult to get out of.As grateful as I was for it,My Oak Tree chair is just life changing. Did not put any pressure on to purchase a chair at all but brought a chair for him to try, which was extremely comfortable and seemed good quality item. more exspensive than expected but decided to order for the quality and comfort it provided. Can’t wait for delivery now !

Chaz came promptly after my request for a quote. He came up with brochures to choose a bed. With samples to choose colour and cover. Then with a bed to show its mobility. His patience and polite exclamations convinced us. The twin beds will come in one. As high as you wish. They’ll move up for your back and up for your legs, individually, with remote controls. We asked for drawers and we got 4. For just over £ 5 000, we have exactly what we wanted ! In white ! And scattered payments until delivery. In just a few weeks … We cannot wait ! Thank you Chaz !

I bought a recliner chair to help my recovery with a knee replacement.
Unfortunatly after 3 months of use the chair was showing signs of premature ware on the ulpholstery.
Oak Tree Mobility were contacted and under the guarantee they agreed to replace the chair.
I have had the new chair delivered today and I am very happy with it and is a lot smoother than the original chair.

From start to finish my experience with Oak Tree Mobility has been excellent. Plenty of time to try out the product I was interested in, a very wide range of materials from which to make my selection and no pressure to make an immediate purchase as the quote is valid for six months.
The additional offer of a trade in price and disposal of the item of furniture being replaced to a well known charitable organisation is very helpful and worthwhile.
