The electricity company and gas company could not do enough to help you. Yorkshire water have been as helpful as tooth ache. They are reluctant to help find water main for new connection. But quick to charge for this connection which then has a time frame. "We might send someone out but no guarantee we will locate main."Which happens to be asbestos. They had a scheme to replace this main but suddenly dropped it. They aggressively charge more and more for doing less and less. There is an independent watch dog we are now going to report to above ofwat. Yorkshire water should be ashamed of themselves.

My elderly mother in law had an untraceable leak which needed an external plumber to detect.
I phoned on her behalf and the matter was swiftly dealt with both professionally and with great care.

I knew I was going to miss a direct debit payment, after just a few minutes of waiting the man who answered was extremely helpful, non judgemental and very friendly. It's like talking to someone you know.
My direct debit was ammended and the monthly amount actually ended up going down! I can't recommend enough to just speak to them when you have an issue.

Do let them carry out works on your drainage.

Yorkshire Water carried out works to a shared drainage outside my house. The subsequent work caused the land around the manhole to start to sink. But that is now my responsibility to repair.

The advisor was very helpful and sorted out my account saving me money aswell couldn't ask for more.

Yorkshire Water customer service is absolutely fantastic. Every time I have needed to contact them my call has been answered promptly, no long wait ..
the customer service assistants are friendly, efficient and really helpful.
There are numerous other businesses who could benefit from this approach!
